The World Government and the Marines would surely try to benefit the best that they could from such a thing.
Her worth was already very high due to her current capabilities, so it could be put to use for their sake, especially if they could use such an incident to direct her to somewhere for the sake of their goals.
Her capabilities were so high that it could be considered as less of a risk if she was sent to do something difficult and dangerous, but even if she failed or died, it would end up being beneficial to them in many ways.
Borsalino showed no change, as if he was reading from an already prepared script. "It has been determined that Alyssia Lucine will complete the previous task assigned to her and the White Storm.
Alyssia Lucine can do it alone or bring Trafalgar Law with her to assist. Other forms of assistance can be used if needed, but this time… it is not a simple information gathering task."
Alyssia was quick to catch on to what was going on. "You want me to go to that island again? Hmmm… sounds like quite the difficult challenge. I am guessing you want me to go much deeper this time."
She thought to herself. 'I was planning on visiting again sometime in the future, so it kinda works out. It seems like the World Government and the Marines are just as interested in that place as I am.
The difference is that they are not so willing to waste resources on trying to find out more about it, while I am willing to take the risk of entering despite there being risks involved.
Whether I succeed or fail does not matter much to them, as it would benefit them either way. Although it would be best not to rush into things and prepare accordingly before going to complete it, as they want me to.'
Borsalino continued as he turned to Trafalgar Law. "It should be expected of both of you that you will represent the position as a Warlord together. That means that your contributions should be greater since there will be two of you.
Trafalgar Law, your contribution this time can cover some of it, but please do keep them coming. Alyssia Lucine… please keep up the good work so far."
Law continued to be stuck in the vicelike grip of Alyssia, as he tried to be as serious as possible under the present circumstances. 'It is just like Bepo… just like Bepo… it is just Minkship… nothing more… stay calm. Think of the plan…'
He continued to remind himself of the usual behaviour of Bepo, who was often the same with him and others in the crew, so he was quite used to Minkship, which was quite common from those of the Mink tribe.
Although there were some additional displays of affection, Alyssia did not take things too far in front of Borsalino.
They had already agreed to show a quite affectionate display, even if it looked like it was one-sided or a little less affectionate than most couples who were madly in love.
Since it had been portrayed as being an accident that was kept going, it could be believed that some affection may have already existed, but it was unlikely that they would be required to prove their love with clearer displays of love.
It was not like Borsalino wanted to sit through a meeting with a couple who were constantly flirting or that he would end up asking them to prove their love in front of him by kissing or doing anything else.
There have already been several photos of the passionate kiss during their wedding, which was already enough to reduce the need for them to try and prove their relationship was not completely fake.
The marriage between them was official as they had gone through the proper procedures, even if it was rushed so which made it even more difficult to question.
Law coughed, clearing his throat before answering. "Of course. I already understand my duties. It shall be done."
The meeting came to an end not too long after that as Law and Alyssia left.
The submarine belonging to the Heart Pirates came to pick him up while the MMA arrived on time, allowing her to get on board.
What was most unusual about it all was that nobody but a mechanical boy was there, who was MMA, who had taken control over the ship while she was away.
The MMA spent some time sailing before coming back for her rather than sitting outside of the Red Line, where it was in a vulnerable position where intruders could sneak on board to take a look around or do anything else.
That made things slightly more convenient for her, as it would be quite troublesome if some Marines or World Government operatives from one of the Cypher Pol branches tried to do a little digging into her private matters.
There was security in place to stop them, but that would create more problems if those intruders suddenly got hurt or trapped while carrying out their assigned duties.
Even if they were doing underhanded operations and got caught in the act, those involved could easily deny involvement and turn things back around on her, especially if their people got harmed in the process of it all.
Alyssia met up with Law not too long after that, as there were still things to go over.
She spent some more time with Law as she continued to tease him playfully while chasing after him and giving him some minkship to show her affection.
His reactions only made her want to tease him more as his usual calm appearance turned to panic and blushing each time.
Once they had managed to get a little more time in a more serious mood, they sat down to discuss their plans going forward.
Law planned on going forward with his previous plan, but there were some things that he had to worry about, like the members of his crew.
His plan only involved him as fewer people made it a lower profile for him, so he had plans to be dropped off at Punk Hazard alone while the Heart Pirates would wait for Zou.
It was easier to arrange things for him since Alyssia already had a good reputation on Zou, and her standing and connections were very useful for getting approval for those types of things.
