Chapter 50: Epilogue

Author: Geraint

(MC's POV)

After a month, the chaos has finally subsided. With the help of All Might, the villains were stopped from taking advantage of the situation, and the police managed to calm down the protesters. The Hero Public Safety Commission was restructured with its remaining staff, and the Pro Heroes underwent internal cleansing. Any Pro Hero found guilty of illegal activities had their licenses revoked and were permanently banned from taking the exam again. Some even had criminal charges pressed against them and were sent to Tartarus. They underestimated the information-gathering capabilities of the former bounty hunters.

We had our eyes on them for a long time, and with the help of my AI daughter, it was easy to trace the evidence.

More than 16% of Pro Heroes were dismissed due to the internal cleansing. Most heroes were shocked to learn that some of their comrades had used their positions to commit unlawful and corrupt acts.

Yokumiru Mera became the new head of the Commission since none of my subordinates wanted the troublesome position. As expected, we all thought alike and shoved the responsibility onto him—he's so hardworking, after all.

With this, my hatred for Pro Heroes has completely diminished. I'm finally reassured that the organization will be fine in the future.

Now, I can finally rest and watch the sunrise in this grateful universe.

Currently, I'm on the rooftop of my hotel near my hometown, watching the sunrise.

I smiled, enjoying the beautiful scenery.

"Falcon!"

Turning around, I saw the three people I had summoned to the rooftop.

"Lady Nagant, Gentle Criminal... and also..."

I glared at La Brava as she glared back.

"Lolibaba!"

"ShotaJiji!"

I sighed, taking something from my pocket and approaching Lady Nagant.

"Here."

"That's..."

Lady Nagant's eyes widened as she saw her Pro Hero License in my hand. She took it and examined it closely.

"I finally had all the charges against you changed to self-defense. The criminal charges were transferred to the former head, who is already dead."

I smiled as she stood there, melancholic.

"You're finally free. It's up to you now whether you want to continue as a Pro Hero."

"...Thank you, Falcon."

Turning to Gentle Criminal, I handed him a white envelope.

"Have you finally learned your lesson, Gentle?"

"Huh? What's this?"

Gentle looked confused. He opened the envelope, pulled out the paper, and began reading. His eyes widened in shock.

"I heard what happened in your past—how you tried to save someone, but things went horribly wrong. I know your intentions were good, but you were too impatient."

He trembled as tears began falling.

"People now see you as a hero. What you're missing is a license. This is the thing you lost long ago, and I'm giving you another chance. Don't be like me—I'm still unqualified at my age."

Gentle dropped to his knees, crying.

"Thank you so much, Falcon! I'll never forget this!"

I squatted beside him and patted his shoulder.

It was an application form for the Pro Hero License Exam. I made him eligible again.

"You earned this by helping me. Don't lose your qualifications this time. I'll repeat what that Gorilla from the police station said: the only people who say they can't turn their lives around are those with no real desire to change. They're just too impatient."

(Sir Nighteye should've told me he was following my plan. Gentle's arrest was meant to teach him a lesson. Knowing your future is terrifying.)

"Take your time and learn from your mistakes. Your dream will come true."

"Yes... thank you."

I turned to La Brava.

"HikiNeet, you're smart—help Gentle study for the exam."

"Of course, Pink-head! I'll do anything to help Gentle."

"I'm warning you. No hacking. My AI daughter and I will be watching."

"Heh. Roboco and I are already great friends."

"Well... poor you. You don't have real friends."

"Who cares? Roboco and Gentle are enough for me."

La Brava and I locked eyes.

"Grrrrrr!"

"These two really get along."

"Yeah."

Lady Nagant and Gentle smiled at us.

"We're not!" we yelled in unison.

Back in Tokyo, I returned to my workshop. My phone vibrated—it was Bakugou.

I was shocked. He never calls me directly; he always has Deku deliver his messages.

"Now that I think about it, neither of them has a personal phone. Should I gift them some? Wait... how did Bakugou contact me?"

Realizing I was still in my adult form, I set the phone down and teleported to the rooftop.

"Shazam!"

Zap!

Back in the room, I picked up the call.

"Kacchan, hello?"

Damn you, Ichika! Answer quicker!

He sounded mad but also flustered.

"What's wrong with you?"

I-I-I... Damn it!

"Calm down. You're usually blunt with me."

I-It's Deku! I think he's hiding something!

"Huh?"

He's acting weird!

"Seriously? You're probably bullying him again, and now he's avoiding you."

Ugh! That Deku!

"Wow, what a horrible friend."

Wait! I don't bully him that much! I just tell him to know his place!

"Want me to come over and hit you?"

Damn you! That's not what I wanted to say! Have you noticed anything strange about him?

"Like what?"

It's... a feeling. I can't explain! When I touched him, it felt... different. It's like...

I was stunned.

"Kacchan, don't tell me—"

You met him a month ago, right? He told me. Do you understand now?

"Wait, do you swing that way with Deku?"

F**k you! No! You're so annoying—go find out yourself!

Tooot~

He ended the call.

"Huh? What's with him? It's strange he called personally."

I slipped my phone into my pocket.

"Guess I'll check on Deku."

I went to the market, bought some souvenirs, and headed to Musutafu.

It was pouring rain. I ran through the downpour.

"Such misfortune!"

Turning a corner, I saw Izuku—muddy, in a t-shirt and shorts, running from the rain.

"Deku!"

He turned, surprised.

"Ichika-kun?"

"Huh?"

Why didn't he call me like usual?

"I mean... Ichika-san."

"I told you, just call me by my name. We're childhood friends. Don't be so distant—or Kacchan will cry."

"Hehehe... He'd be furious."

"Right! He was acting strange. Do you know why?"

"No idea. He's been distant lately."

"I see. Weren't you in Tokyo?"

"Yeah, but Kacchan said you were acting weird, so I came."

"Me?"

"I brought souvenirs. Let's eat at your place."

"Okay..."

At his apartment:

"I'm home!"

"Pardon my intrusion!"

"Izuku, is that—"

"Mom, Ichika came to visit!"

Midoriya Inko greeted us warmly. She looked like Izuku, but with darker green eyes and shoulder-length hair tied in a spiky ponytail.

"Ara, Ichika-kun. It's been a while."

"Yeah. Here—"

I handed her the souvenirs.

"Thank you."

Seeing us soaked, she said:

"You'll catch a cold. Ichika-kun, feel free to use our bathroom. I'll lend you some clothes."

To Izuku:

"Towel off and go after Ichika finishes. Why are you so muddy?"

"I slipped in a puddle, Mom."

He looked down, sadness in his eyes.

"Liar."

"Eh?"

I stared him down.

"Did someone push you? Tell me, and I'll erase them."

Izuku panicked.

"No! It was just me!"

"Okay... I'll remember that."

Inko sighed and smiled.

"I feel at ease when you're with Izuku."

"We're friends—me, Deku, and Kacchan. The three idiots."

"Hehehe... Thank you. Go bathe before you get sick."

Grabbing Izuku's arm:

"Come on, Deku! Show me the results of your training!"

"Ara?"

Inko was surprised. Izuku was flustered.

"Ichika, I think that's a bit—"

"Come on!"

I dragged him in. Stripped down, completely naked, Izuku covered his face.

"What are you, a girl?"

Annoyed, I tried to lift his shirt. He resisted.

"No!"

"What's wrong?"

He glanced at me, then at my crotch, and covered his face again.

"Kyaah!"

"Tsk."

I used the chance to yank down his shorts—and was utterly shocked.

"Ah..."

He was wearing pure pink underwear—clearly feminine. But what shocked me most was the lack of any male anatomy.

(She's definitely a girl. The main character of this world... became a girl. What the hell happened? Is this my fault?)

Looking at her, covering her face...

"I need an explanation later."

I put her shorts back, grabbed a towel, and entered the bathroom alone.

(To be continued.)

(A/N: I'll fix my mistakes later.)
