Chapter 14 - The Crying Princess and the King of the Slouchy

Ten seconds had passed since Rimel opened the cover of the book; when she came to her senses, she was breathing in gasps.

"Tell me, little one, what is your skill? Tell me everything you see!"

"Okay, Brother Max, I'm telling!"

Purification

-Level 1

-Removes one bad effect from a sinner under the influence of Fallen; the target gains immunity against all control effects for the next ten seconds.

-Against Fallen with a level higher than the user, the success chance drops by 10% per level.

-Level two requirement: Perform 10,000 successful purifications.

While her cheeks, flushed red from excitement, moved away from each other due to her big smile, the young girl was explaining the features of her new skill one by one.

She wasn't the only one happy about this; after what I heard, I had barely held myself back from throwing myself into the Bağcılar Region and dancing like crazy.

"This is really a very useful skill; it will allow one more of us to attack besides the person who has immunity to the region!"

Although Sukrucuk didn't understand what was going on, after my words, he had figured out that things were going well; there were four regions in the village we were in, and we were together as three people who had immunity to three of them.

"Now, Sukrucuk, I'm sending you a party invitation, do you accept?"

I had been thinking about this for a long time; the party menu hadn't appeared yet, so I didn't know how it would be, but I decided to try it this way.

"Brother Max, a text and two options appeared in front of me, what will I do now!"

"Calm down brother, read me what is written!"

The deduction I made based on my experiences was correct; I guess what appeared in front of our fierce head-basher was a party invitation.

"The sinner named Max has invited you to join the party!"

"Yes / No"

"Say yes, brother!"

The request had reached Sukrucuk, he just needed to accept.

"Yes!"

With the answer, a new menu opened in front of me; this was the place where I would make the party settings. It was as if care was taken so that the options would completely awaken the devil inside the human because of Hell.

Loot Sharing: Random / Leader

Experience Sharing: Common / Proportional to Damage

Kick Sinner from Party

Disband Party

It was simple but confusing for the leader; luckily I was here. We would continue on our way by making the loot for the leader and experience common.

"Come on, let's go get our last member in this village!"

I was sure that the slouch was waiting where we left him, but my teammates were hesitant about this matter.

"Who is this friend, Max?"

"Someone like us, he also has immunity against a region!"

Sukrucuk was a bit of a cautious type normally, I guess; right, he had been tense even with me at first because of this.

"There are four regions around us, and there are a total of four people here who fell to the First Floor of Hell with their last sin like us. As a unit, we must first kill the Fallen around, then it seems we will need to explore other places from here!"

These were my thoughts; first, the core team would be formed and levels would be grinded, then when we were done with the mobs around, we would expand to new places, but there was something I forgot.

"Rimel, you took one more thing from the ground besides the book and money, what is it?"

Right, she went and came back, forming a party completely slipped my mind; I hope a useful item dropped.

"Are you talking about this, brother? Is this something usable?"

As soon as the young girl finished her sentence, she let out a scream; before I could even say what's going on my dear, I found her crying again.

"Girl, what happened again, don't let yourself go constantly!"

Sukrucuk was surprised too, we both waited for the flood of emotions to end.

"Brother Max, the name of this stick is apparently Magic Wand!"

When she finally came to her senses, she told us the name of the flat, somewhat misshapen wooden object in her hand; this girl was weepy and timid, but it seemed her luck was good.

"Sister, can you tell me the features of what you are holding, then check your values, is there anything changed?"

She had literally dropped a weapon from the first mob; my only wish was for this luck to spread to the whole party.

Magic Wand

-Level: 0

-Attack Power: +1

-Magic Power: +1

It was quite good as an item dropping from the starting village; considering the current situation, it would provide a ten percent increase in the girl's most important values.

"Brother Max, the places writing Attack and Magic Power became 11, there is no change in the remaining parts!"

Rimel, examining the information from the screen appearing before her eyes, was answering my question at the same time.

"Ayyyyy! It says Purification in the skill section, I became very happy, very!"

The young girl was trying to dance with strange hand and arm movements on one hand, and wiping her slightly watering eyes on the other. The alarm was given, I couldn't handle another round of crying; I tried to change the subject immediately.

"Come on, come on let's go find our other friend!"

I had managed to change the atmosphere of the environment and make us walk to the Hardware Store Region; just as I was saying everything will be peaceful and easy, was I going to be the victim of my big mouth again?

Suddenly, the people around us started falling to the ground like puppets with their strings cut; when they started to disappear a few seconds later, I understood what was going on.

The time given had expired; these people had set off to suffer their punishment after a one-day period. My steps would speed up even more after the event because most likely our Toraman was also among this group.

When I arrived at the place I left him, there was no one; he had left neither a trace nor his scent behind. For a moment I felt the strength leave my knees; I couldn't stand against this bad world anymore, I fell, yes I fell.

Maybe I was just standing on my knees, but inside, somewhere deeper, I was still falling. If I knew that losing someone left behind would hurt me this much, I would have hugged him, I wouldn't have let him leave me even for a step.

Of course, I wasn't this sad; or did you think what I thought for fun a moment ago was real?

If the lazy tin can had listened to my word, he would be wandering with us now; even if he gave me a hard time a little, this poor girl would have suffered instead of him.

Serves him right; I hope eight hours of intensive care brings him to his senses, otherwise we would have looked for another way to fend for ourselves.

"Wow, look who's here, my dear brother has come!"

While I was trolling myself, a voice coming from afar echoed where we stood; Toraman was coming towards me with a palm-sized book in his hand.

He had saved his skin, but how? As soon as he came to us with his mad bull running style, I asked him about this subject first.

"I swear I didn't believe you, but a voice inside me kept saying 'what if he is telling the truth'. So just in case, I went to the bottom of the shield and sat down, set my eyes on one of them, and started waiting!"

While describing the events adding his hand and arm gestures, the king of slouches was almost reliving those moments.

"A sound like 'thud' came from behind me, I turned around and people were toppling over like cut trees; at that moment I said 'run boy'. I planted one on the Thinner-sniffer I marked before, the guy kicked the bucket; while he was disappearing, a few coins and this book appeared in his place!"

I couldn't figure out if he came to Hell a bit late or hit the mob just in time, but as a result, Toraman had saved the day; subsequently, he told us about his fainting, the words of the formless light, and his return.

"Now, do you believe me?"

I intoned the question in such a way while asking that it was as if I was saying "what happened now, show-off".
