Ethan Sterling listened to her rambling, but instead of being annoyed, he felt quite pleased. As he fastened the cufflinks on his sleeves, he walked over to Seraphina Redgrave and leaned down to give her lips a fierce kiss. "Remember to wait for me to come back for dinner tonight."
Seraphina's hand rested on the bed, her lips red and slightly swollen, looking like a bullied little rabbit.
She escorted Ethan to the gate of the manor and stopped there, watching as he walked further away. She gazed at the road outside, still shrouded in mist, and was about to turn back when she heard Nanny Lynch's laughter behind her.
She turned to see Nanny Lynch approaching with a smile, "I just remembered the early days between you and Young Master Sterling; you can't bear to part with him now, can you?"
In the past, she wished Ethan would leave as soon as possible, but indeed, people change over time. With time grows affection, isn't that how it is?
