Lakeside Manor, like other large estates outside Tobesk City, has its own stables. However, Angelina did not choose a horse from the stables of the manor. Instead, she sent someone to the Lemer Stable on the other side of Lake Schluch to select a black horse.
When Shard crossed the lively courtyard and arrived at the starting point of the horse race on one side of the manor, quite a few gentlemen had already gathered there with their horses. Each had their own female companion and had prepared their racehorse in advance. Participants like Shard, who decided to join at the last minute, were in the minority.

During the banquet where Shard was knighted, this gentleman had tried to win Shard's "Northern City: Coldwater Harbor" through the game Roder Card, but instead, Shard won five commemorative coins from him, including "Pirate's Blood Money."
