A while passed since deciding to bathe in the warmth of his personal hot spring but much as Reece would want to spend all week in there. He really needs to prepare his goals for meeting that upcoming hero, a task which grew heavier sooner than he expected.
The castle shifted like clay and restructured from simple gestures or those thoughts which were put behind them. It's a rapid change to an unprocessed section in his personal palace; formerly only fancy halls or empty rooms were turned to a massive hallway that'd hold several buildings just by itself.
"System, I'm done with this project." Reece announces toward his companion.
"Cool! What is it? You've been at it for an hour." The hologram pondered this colossal hall with curious eyes.
He smirks a little proud about his hard work and holds up a tablet that was molded from the castle's marble. "It's my custom training hall, I'll need to grind out my body's stats if relying on coins will leave me vulnerable and this is the controller for the courses."
"Oh! That's an amazing idea but why make a controller?" The system peered down on this constructed tablet in Reece's hands.
"Well..." Reece drums his fingers at the borders of it with a soft smile. "I can't make my own training courses or I'll have too much understanding of how the trials worked."
"You're... You're letting me design your training courses!?" Her form distorted out of excitement but it was brief as she settled down. "Are you sure? I haven't had a good track record so far."
"My only companion for now will be you and I need chaos to help train my problem solving skills for future conflicts." Reece stands up from a spot on the floor with the newly crafted tablet in hand.
This space is an ethereal realm that obeys what commands he gives it, that's an abundant fact he's learned. However, only him and nobody else could do so like he does without any secondary devices that have a rule placed on it. Reece doesn't truly know the accuracy of control such creations give a person but he draws the rules for this castle. He places it on a conductor stand at the hall's mouth.
"So, can I start now?" The system's projection moved over to the tablet with a gleeful expression. She points at the screen while facing towards Reece for his reaction.
"Oh yeah, I need agility courses since my Idol's abilities seem oriented to be stealth." Reece motions to the system as he moves away. "I'll go on working on other facilities waiting for you to finish them."
"Alright! I'll inform you when I've completed seven of them." The system salutes Reece before getting to work. Her hands move at impressive speeds interacting with that control terminal.
Reece nods to himself seeing her dexterity in working with his creation. A hopeful warmth forms in his heart that his only companion will fulfill this one job but for now, he walks away before being proven wrong. It's better to be surprised than instantly being disappointed.
He walks through these marble halls with an expression that turns somber alone. A silence holds these decorated but empty hallways, he ponders this inherent emptiness looking through those windows who simply point outwards into another hall. No end to how far this pattern occurs within his castle could be seen.
"It's kinda quiet here without the system." Reece mutters peering down the forever expanding maze seen through his castle's windows.
He takes a deep breath before closing his eyes and a massive shift within the castle's surfaces. Walls around him push away from him, some meld together as they move. It's a silent change only felt from vibrations in the floor. A large room has been cleared around him then he studies the area around.
"Well, this will be my warehouse area. If I had the time or resources then it'd be the garden." Reece lets out a sigh while details pop up from the floor. "Soil here would be too fake for real plants and raising phantom ones isn't interesting."
He paused waiting for a reply but it seems his usual chatter companion wasn't here. There's a moment of quietness than normal... Reece snaps his fingers causing the flooring and walls to change their textures into what he'd like for a warehouse. He crosses his arms watching this play out with some disinterest.
"Penelope knew what she was doing when handing me this system..." Reece talks to nobody but himself walking between the rows of empty shelves his castle formed.
'Now that the easiest of the utility facilities has been completed, I should get this one done with.' His expression warmed up thinking about his companion but then once that last facility he planned dug up still fresh wounds. Deep ones still bloody with emotions that he barely keeps merely a somber face.
He arrives at the end of his warehouse, his gaze noting each shelf and with a single snap of his fingers those unseen hands begin stocking his supplies on them. If he opened a door here then it'd be efficient on time pulling them out. Now isn't a good time testing this process sadly.
'Wish I had the system listening to me right now, I'd have gone on about how opening the castle doors worked and these invisible hands operated.' Reece makes an annoyed huff as he makes a good distance from the warehouse. 'It shouldn't be too far or too close from the warehouse but I'm definitely adding a train or something after this.'
He could still feel his body tire even if this place was born from purely imagination. A massive pillow appears out of thin air behind his small frame before flopping onto it for a brief rest. It's frustrating to feel tired within his own dream land but that's just his own dreaming reality for him, realism in a ghost writer's imaginary castle.
A few minutes pass laying across this cushion before Reece takes a deep breath. He pulls himself up with just a long sigh. It takes a simple gesture every wall forming that hallway pulls away to make a slightly smaller room. A brown shade spread away from where he stood throughout this newly created space's floor. This rough texture replaces smooth marble within a fluid shift.
"Let's see how my dirt turns out." Reece mutters to nobody but him while leaning down and taps the new type of floor.
Reece feels the dirt gives way to a bit of force and a smile spreads across his face. He holds up two hands to jam all his fingers into this solid soil. A wave moves through it cause everything to be churned up into a softer ground and once he pulls up his hands, many little hills forms alongside his arms arcing upwards.
"Hm, I should add some grass and maybe... Wildflowers would be a nice touch." He thinks out loud before snapping his fingers with a resonance to this otherworldly castle.
This false life sprung up with an appearance straight out of his vague memories. His wildflowers bloomed into ones he'd expect them to become or simply remembered from fuzzy past interactions with real ones. Reece gives them a brief look before going to add several stone pillars across this wild field.
He moved up to the first pillar with a single finger on his tiny hand pointed out. Reece begins to write a name across the top having a somber smile on his face... A moment later, Pascal Wirth was written on the stone surface then began on another. Here is his personal graveyard to people he's lost, on a long journey holding onto memories of people who helped him was something he wanted to honor.
'I should get some real plants once we get actual soil but for now, this'll do.' He exhales softly looking at his work. Several names have been put on a different pillar in their native language to the best of his abilities. 'It's lucky I had skills good for learning how to write in these tongues, they may never see it but messing that up would....'
[Reece! The training courses have reached their first drafts, you can now check them out]
"Oh good." Reece smiles seeing that familiar red message appear in front of his face. He taps it softly then turns towards the door to the graveyard. "You can hear me, right?"
[Yup, I never really stopped hearing you but I was pretty busy to respond, sorry :s]
"Alright... Want to see me make a train for my castle?" He says walking up to a distant wall while rubbing his palms together. An excitement raced through his small body for this idea.
[Of course! :0]
Reece pops his knuckles before getting to work on his next castle project! In this place of endless fun, creating is the easiest way to find a bit of entertainment like a sketch book that holds infinite pages. He'd likely never leave if this wasn't simply a world of dreams resting within his heart.
