413. The Cost of War
The war had finally ended. Despite the recent brutal battle, Feihong Pass still faintly reeked of blood, yet it was starting to regain some of its usual tranquility. The streets and the city gates were devoid of the everyday hustle and bustle. The soldiers of the Mo Family Army quietly cleaned the battlefield and washed away bloodstains from the streets. These bloodstains belonged to both their comrades and their enemies. Mixed together, it was impossible to distinguish whose blood was whose, but both sides of the conflict had paid a severe price.
