272. Edict of Confession
"Ministers, at ease. Attendants, proclaim My edict."
All the court officials in the hall could not help but look at each other. The moment the court session began, an edict was issued without any discussion. This indicated that His Majesty had no intention of discussing anything with them, but simply had them listen to his decision. After a moment of shock, someone quickly reacted, "We, your humble servants, respectfully await the sacred decree."
Once one had agreed, no one else could speak up in disagreement. The ministers in the hall knelt down in unison and said respectfully, "We await Your Majesty's edict."
