The Hunting Competition was set to last five whole days. But Balthazar had decided there would be no hunting on the first day. He believed the children needed time to get to know each other better. After all, these young ones would one day carry the future of the empire. It was important for them to form strong bonds.
Most of the children had seen one another before at different banquets and events, but just meeting once or twice wasn't enough to become true friends. That's why Balthazar thought it would be a good idea to give them a full day just to play and spend time together.
And he was right.
That first day, the camp was buzzing with cheerful laughter and lively chatter. Children from different clans played games, explored the area together, and shared snacks. The grown-ups talked too, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
