"What do you mean Marie is there?" Did you see her? Sargon questioned Vianna as he dropped down to one knee in front of her.
"I heard her, Alpha Sargon" She is in danger! That monster lady is scary! We have to help her!" She said as her tears fell down her cheeks.
Sargon looked at Catelyn who had a worried look on her face.
"Do you know how you got there, Vianna?" Aurian asked.
"No. I am sorry. I don't know what happened. I think Marie did it. She wanted me to help her. The bad lady did not want me there."
"Alright darling, that will be all for now. Get some rest and we will continue this another time." Aurian instructed.
"But what about Marie? What if something happens to her?"
"Do not worry dear. We will do all we can to find a way to help Marie." Vianna looked at Aurian hopelessly as she spoke.
Aurian and Sargon left the room after questioning Vianna. There was so much more she needed to know. What was the connection to the child? How was Marie able to communicate with her if she lost her powers?
"Sargon, what happened when Marie helped Vianna?"
"What do you mean?"
"I am referring to the spell she cast on her. I need to know exactly what happened after Vianna became possessed."
"Well, Marie took some time to get her spell right. She used a necklace from Catelyn and one of Vianna's favorite dolls…oh, and a mirror. She put the curse in the doll, bound it and buried it. She placed a protection in the necklace for her. Why?"
"I believe Marie may have connected the two of them when she placed the protection on her. If she did the spell work as though Vianna was like her own child, it would mean she used a part of herself to protect her. Only a very powerful witch can accomplish that. She is definitely a special woman.
"So, what does this all mean? Marie can speak directly to Vianna?"
"Yes. But we must work quickly because we can find where she is until Sybil figures out what happened and either kills Marie or breaks the connection."

"How do you expect me to eat all of this? How did you even get this?" Marie said with her eyes wide.
In front of her was a full spread of desserts, food and wine.
"I get what I want." Nicholas said with a hungry stare.
"Well, you better have some of this food then." She teased, making sure he knew he wasn't having her for dessert.
"But seriously, how are you able to bring this for me? Sybil had me eating bread and drinking water."
"I told you, I do what I want. You are welcome to go back to eating dry bread and drinking water if you like. However, your company is quite nice. These women here are nags, not to mention, very witchy." He teased.
"I honestly do not know what on earth you are doing here but I am glad that you are here when I am." She said as Nicholas smiled with his flirtatious stare. Marie rolled her eyes.
"Come here." He said, reaching for her hands and turning her in her seat to face him.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing. Just come here and close your eyes." He said. Marie gave him a suspicious look, then did as she was told. He closed his eyes as well.
"Now I can tell you whatever twisted things I want, and they can't hear." He said, opening his eyes and releasing her hands. She looked at him and lifted one brown.
"Now you can hear my thoughts?" She asked telepathically. Nicholas smiled.
"I can hear what you want me to hear. Don't worry, I don't want to hear everything. Witchy women are weird. Regular humans are easier to understand.
"Well, keep it clean in here buddy." She warned as she pointed her finger at him.
She was impressed with how easily Nicholas completed the telepathy spell. There was more to him than he led her to believe. She would need to be very careful with him.
"Alright, alright, I will. Now listen up." He said getting serious. "Do you want to really get out of here?"
"Yes. More than anything."
"Where will you go? Who will you stay with? You can't go back to the Alpha. These are the things you need to consider before running away."
"I haven't figured that part out yet. All I know is I don't have a lot of time before Sybil finishes what she started. My life becomes more in danger the longer I stay here."
"Hmm… well you better think about it, or you will put everyone in danger…again." He rolled his eyes.
"I know. I will be honest with you. I miss him terribly. I thought the feelings were supposed to go away."
"I know you do. I can tell. It sometimes takes time for it to go away, depending on how strong the bond was."
"How do you know I miss him?"
"Well, for starters, you ignore all of my advances. You also look miserable most of the time. I find myself, saying stupid things just to see you laugh." He said as he became more serious. "You are a very beautiful woman. In a different time and situation, I would be falling all over you." He said, leaning back in his chair and lifting his hands behind his head.
"You already fall all over me now so I am afraid of how it would be if it was any worse." She giggled.
"Whatever. So, you have jokes, huh." He teased.
"Sorry to interrupt you two…" Isabel leaned on the door frame, staring at Marie. Neither of them even heard her open the door.
"What do you want, Isabel?" Nicholas asked. Marie could hear that he was annoyed in his voice.
"Sybil wants to speak with Marie…now!"
"Fine. I will take her."
"No. I was instructed to take her to her." Isabel said, looking at Nicholas with a disgusted look on her face.
Nicholas stood up and walked over to Isabel. "I will take her. You can leave." He said firmly.
"Whatever. You just can't keep your hands to yourself, huh? You can deal with Sybil then." She said, then looked over at Marie. She flicked her finger, causing Marie to be thrown out of her chair.
Before Marie could hit the floor. Nicholas raised his hand and stopped her body in mid air, lifting her up before she fell. He looked at Isabel who wore a scowl on her face at her failed attempt.
"This is the last time you try to do anything to her Isabel, or you will have to deal with me."
"Hmm…someone has grown attached to the little peasant. I look forward to the day I can end you, Nicholas. Hopefully it is sooner than later." She said, then turned quickly and left.
"Are you alright, Marie."
"Yes. I am fine. What is it with you and her?"
"Why is she so upset with you?"
"Isabel is upset with everyone."
"Well, that part I know but she has to have a reason. What reason does she have to be upset with you? I mean, other than your wonderful personality." She rolled her eyes and smirked. Nicholas would piss anyone off with his personality. She thought. Nicholas exhaled loudly.
"Isabel and I were a thing a while back. She was cool but I didn't want anything serious. She did. That's basically it. She's pretty and everything but there is just something that doesn't sit well with me. Something about her I don't like. I can't figure it out. When I broke things off and told her I wanted to be friends, she was in a rage. She does not take rejection well."
"Oh wow. That must have been hard for you both."
"I guess. I like to be honest. Not everyone appreciates that."
"Honesty is best. Maybe one day you two can work this out. She was…different when we were in the same coven. At least I thought she was. Maybe I wanted to think she was. It is hard to believe that we were once friends and now we are enemies. How did that change so easily?"
"Maybe she was always this way and just hid it. Regardless, I don't see us making up any time soon. I don't need that kind of negative energy in my life. Anyway, let's get out of here before Sybil comes looking for you. I am sure Isabel would love that."
"You're right. I wonder what she wants."
"We are about to find out." He said, grabbing her hand and walking out of the room.
