-Kara-
[Kah-rah]
How do you measure infinity?
I've been around since the beginning...
Does that mean I've been around for an eternity?
I can hold the weight of the 18 cosmos on one shoulder.
Does that mean I'm Omnipotent?
No...
Right?
There's no point in having so much power if I don't have anyone to match it with.
The thought alone is enough to make Me go insane.
It's why I feed My hunger for blood.
It calms Me.
Watching every last drop of hope disappear from a defenseless creature sparks something inside Me.
Something I can only get from battle...
No matter how I look at it, My body yearns for a good fight.
I'm not sure how much longer I can wait...
"Agk-" Tora chokes.
I release her throat after realizing she had stopped moving.
Oops.
I check her. Still warm. Her heart had simply quit.
I rest a hand on her chest and call her soul back before it can fall.
She gasps sharply, body arching as overwhelming sensation crashes through her. Eyes rolling, she laughs breathlessly after the waves finally ease.
"Oh-god that... is so... intense," she manages between aftershocks.
I click My tongue and sit back against a large rock while she struggles to pull herself together.
"H-how long was I out for?" she tilts her head.
"Like ten seconds. Was that too much?"
She smiles widely. "Not long enough."
I give her a small smile. "Crazy bitch."
I open My arms. "C'mere."
She giggles and crawls over, wrapping her arms around My neck. Our mouths meet for a moment. Her tail curls around Me, seeking more.
I pry her hands off an I shove her aside.
"Hey! Rude!"
I walk to the edge of the cliff.
The sky is choked with volcanic smoke. Massive waves build in the ocean. Earthquakes tear the planet open through its largest cities.
"This planet is dying. It's time we get going."
I breathe in the scent of coming ruin.
"Well maybe if you didn't go so hard earlier, you'd still have time to play with your little toys," she pouts
"Nah. I still got time."
Not enough to linger on their suffering, but enough to finish the work.
I crack My knuckles. The sound cracking like thunder
"J-jeez..." Tora mutters.
Roughly eight billion mortals left on this world-the most populated in the galaxy. It will come apart in about five minutes. More than enough.
"Are you sure? Cause I'm not trying to get caught up in the middle of th-"
I hop off the cliff before she finishes.
"Hey! I was talki-"
The moment My feet touch the ground I begin.
I move across the entire globe at My own pace, ending every last creature left. Insects I simply erase. When it is finished I stand on the moon and watch everything fall still.
One kick and the satellite is gone. With the same leap I arrive on the next world that still holds life-smaller, only about two billion. I clear it the same way, then the next, and the next.
I continue until every drop of life across three hundred million planets in the galaxy is gone. Most held only two or three billion. Pathetic, given the size of the place.
What felt like a little over two thousand years to Me later, I return to Tora, who is still shouting at the after-image I left at the base of the cliff.
"-ng to you!" she yells just as I swollow purest heart that I saved for last.
"Oh... that was... fast..."
I give her a small smile.
I have reached speeds beyond ordinary comprehension. Name the largest number you can concieve Multiply it by itself as many times as you like. I can still lap the universe as many times without effort. That is what My power has become.
"C'mon."
I hold out My hand.
She takes it and spins between My legs with a giggle. "Heh... ready."
I move us out into the void, two hundred thousand light-years away, where the galaxy hangs in full view.
"Wow, it's so beautiful," she says.
I had just emptied it. Life will begin again in exactly three billion years. After about a billion years of that, it will go extinct once more. No point keeping the shell. I have had My fun.
I raise a hand and form a tiny sphere of energy-the size of an atom, yet brighter than every star combined. I call it simply: Atom.
"Wow, that's so cute," Tora giggles.
I let it fall toward the galaxy. It accelerates, fifty thousand light-years a second, straight for the nucleus. In moments the supermassive black hole that held everything together is consumed. Stars, planets, and lesser holes smash into one another as their paths reverse. The Atom reels the rest in faster than the old black hole ever could.
Tora tugs at Me. I pause all of time for a moment. In exception for Tora
"What?"
"I can't see anything," she frowns.
We are too far for her eyes. I share My sight with her, then let time flow again. We watch until nothing remains.
"Wow, that's so awesome," she giggles.
I call the Atom back into My hand.
"Can I hold it?"
"Want to die?"
Even at that size it carries the mass and pull of the entire galaxy it just ate. One touch and she would be gone.
"Oh... n-no."
I close My fist and expand it to the size of a baseball. The swirling remains become visible-a tiny, forming dust-cloud galaxy.
"What are you going to do with it?"
"Nothing. Let's go home."
I smile.
"Hehe, alright."
I take us back to Othrys.

Othrys is a colossal, ancient world-turtle that carries an entire three-tiered civilization upon his back while roaming within the atmosphere of the Jupiter-sized planet Gaia. His roughly 200-million-square-mile world rises through Delta, Beta, and Alfa, filled with oceans, forests, mountains, cities, and enormous waterfalls spilling from its edges. At the summit lies Alfa, a vast green metropolis crowned by a towering castle-a civilization literally carried through Gaia's skies by the living Othrys.
Jupiter itself was a failed star Cronus shaped when he was still young. I created Gaia for My own amusement. Over time My eldest son grew attached and began tending it. Othrys was gift from his uncle. He turned it into what it is now.
Since he is the strongest of the fourteen, I dont touch the world he tends for himself. Sooner or later he will reach My level. Then I will finally have My fight.
A guard at the castle gate nearly drops his drink. Black-haired, not much taller than Tora. The last one must have quit again.
"Welcome back, Lord Amaterasu," he salutes and opens the gates.
I do not bother to look at him. Creatures tend not to survive eye contact.
Inside, My eldest son waits.
Saint Ignatius, or Ignia for short.
"I see you're back early."
His eyes meet mine. He has been training.
I toss him the compressed galaxy. He catches it easily despite his exhaustion.
"Lost interest not long after I started."
I smile.
The strongest of his siblings. Cronus is the nearest, and still nowhere close.
"I don't want you playing with these on my planet."
He shrinks it to the size of a marble.
"Mom has your clothes upstairs."
He flicks it back-hard enough to punch through time itself before landing on My palm, restored to an earlier era when life had only just begun to stir.
"I see you're as soft as ever," I say.
He smiles. "Don't keep mother waiting."
Then he is gone.
"Hehe, c'mon daddy."
Tora heads up the stairs, hips swaying.
I swallow the galaxy whole. "What a joke."
I follow.
"Hey mommy!"
Tora tackles Isis onto the bed.
"Tora!" Isis gasps.
Isis is My half sibling and woman. No, less than that.
I can't say that I see her, or anyone else for that mater as more than an insect.
Despite that, she is one of the very few created creatures left that has been created by the same dispicable being that I should not name, that created Me.
We are Founding Titans-immortal, reborn five hundred years after physical death. The first time I ended her was when she thought she could speak against Me. I anihilated her and her pitiful sibling more times than there are grains of sand in the universe. After I grew bored, I made her bear My children.
Ignia...
I taught him everything there is to know of the art of battle.
Seventy-five billion years later, here we are.
"Let's play with daddy!"
Tora pins her mother down.
"W-what? No, stop being silly."
Isis tries to push her off.
"C'mon, daddy wants both of us, right Kara?" Tora laughs.
I take My robe from the bed without answering and leave.
"Here, take care of Coeus," Isis shoves the creature into Tora, then follows Me, shutting the door on her daughter's protest.
"Wh-what's wrong, Kara?" she asks as we reach the throne room.
"I'm bored."
I sit. She drops to her knees.
"Bored?"
"Is there something wrong with that?"
"No... but it isn't like you. You'd always find something to do."
"Right... but nothing catches My interest anymore."
I sigh.
Only one thing occupies My thoughts.
Ignia.
The last real fight I had was with the Grand Priest. He came close. I still won. Afterward I split My universe, kept half, and divided the rest into twelve.
Billions of years since I am far stronger. Ignia has already surpassed even the Priest.
"That boy has gotten strong. I wonder what exactly he is capable of."
"What? Y-you don't mean..."
Her eyes widen.
"Yes. It is time."
I smile.
"If you two fight it will be the end of everything you've built. You know that, right?"
"So what? The only thing that matters is our battle. Anything in the way dies."
"Y-you can't... d-don't do this, Kara, please."
Her voice trembles as she presses her forehead to the floor.
"Look at you. How pathetic you've become."
I stare down at her.
"Worrying about those creatures like they're your own children."
"They're not mine, but yours. You gave everything life-for what?"
...
"You and I are stuck in this infinite cycle of life and death, Isis."
I lift her chin with My tail.
I learned to give life as well as take it. I have become God of the infinite dimensions of time and space. Even so...
Not a single word.
There is no end to My strength, yet He still bars the way to true Paradise.
How does He do it? No matter what I inflict on His children, silence.
I once erased every atom of His creation, but He never answers. When I grew tired of waiting I rebuilt everything from nothing, a domain where I reign as Eternal King, where I can amuse Myself against the curse of immortality. Everything that lives does so for My entertainment. That is all. They may believe whatever they wish. In the end I gave them life, and I can take it.
"You sound like nothing more than a child begging for attention," she says.
I glare. "Kgh-say that again?"
She lowers her head and covers her mouth the instant our eyes meet. "I-I didn't say anything."
"Wonder where all this confidence came from."
I stand.
"I-I swear... you know I wouldn't d-dare..."
She right. Her thoughts must've slipped into my head.
Her voice shakes as My tail catches her hair and lifts her.
"You sure? It was as clear as day."
I raise her off the ground. She clutches at My tail, tears already falling.
"P-please, K-Kara, don't..."
"You know what, Isis?"
I grin.
"Maybe I am feeling it today."
