Their Invisibility Shield divine ability didn't work on the vessel because the god of dreams was the direct controller. They couldn't hide from the gaze of the god of dreams, which meant that they couldn't sneak attack the vessel.
The vessel was still stunned by the sudden appearance of Legion-10. And when he saw the divine ability of a killer, he decided to run.
He chose to run because he now knew that Legion-10 was a rank 9 angel of telepathy. This meant that there was very little he could do to harm Legion-10.
The god of dreams didn't want to risk his vessel, so he made it escape. His plan was to create some distance between the vessel and Legion-10 for now. Then he would respond with an attack of his own.
But Legion-10 wasn't going to give him a chance. As the vessel entered the Mindscape, Legion-10 used the Imprison divine ability on him. This caused spiked black chains to erupt from their hand and ensnare the vessel.
