The flamethrowers were the ones to be activated first. Flames fell from the walls of the base and congregated from three directions onto the army.
Only one place was free from the blasting of flames. It was the direction of the main building in the base where Rack is currently fighting for his life.
This direction became the only escape route for the people in the army. Those who were not incinerated instantly could only escape from this direction, as going in any other direction would make them rush against the flamethrowers.
The rank 4 knights and other powerful rank 3 knights that survived the initial blast of the flames rushed out from the same direction. Unfortunately for them, there were four rank 4 beings standing at the ready to push them back into the flames.
The traveler used rank 1 Speed Boost and was able to run faster than anyone that came up to him. He would then impale them with his spear or push them back into the flames.
