If it was someday else, Zhang Yichan would have ignored him but he was in a really good mood today, and Assistant pei was also clever, he immediately changed the way he addresses yumi which earned him points. so this time he replied.
"Thank you. You can take the rest of the day off. " - he said.
Assistant Pei was overjoyed, he has been working for Yichan for almost 2 years now and he has never even got a single day off. without waiting another second, he handed the car keys to Yichan and ran away.
After Assistant Pei left , Yichan turned his head and looked at Yumi. "Let's go?" - he said and opened the car door for her.
After she got into the car, he went to the other side and got in the drivers seat.
looking at the marriage certificate in her hands, Chen Yumi had many complicated feelings in her heart.
Yichan kept observing her all through the drive but he didn't speak anything.
Stopping at the red light, he turned towards her and called her. when she looked at him, he said.
"Stop your thoughts from running wild. Now that we are married, I won't let you down. i won't let suffer even a tiny bit. I know you wanted to get married for the sake of your mother but no matter what we are husband and wife and I am not someone who takes marriage lightly.
No matter what, you are Mrs.Zhang now I will be by your side and I will make sure you won't regret marrying me okay?" - he said looking into her eyes.
when he finished saying, the traffic light has turned green. and he focused on driving.
if someone else told her that zhang yichan said these words, Chen Yumi would never have believed them instead laughed at them. After all he was never a person who talks sweet words.
But now, she looked at him and felt her nose tingling, tears welled up in her eyes. she hurriedly turned her head to the other side and wiped her tears.
After driving for an hour, they reached the hospital.
Since it was the visiting hours, the hospital area was packed full of vehicles. they could only park their car further away.
Thinking for a second, Zhang Yichan asked Yumi to get down at the entrance and wait while he went to park the car.
Getting down from the car, Chen Yumi stood at the side of the entrance watching Yichan drive his car past her.
she was so nervous that she kept fidgeting her hands.
while she was waiting for Yichan, she felt someone calling her from behind. she was about to turn when she recognised the voice of Xu Hao.
Xu Hao has been waiting for the past hour and half in front of the hospital for Chen Yumi. he knew that they were supposed to get married today.
he kept calling yumi , but she wouldn't pick up. he had no choice but to come and wait at the hospital. he knew she would come to see her mother everyday.
After waiting for so long , just when he was about drive away thinking she won't come, he saw Zhang Yichan's car with his eye catching number plate pulling up at the entrance of the hospital.
he saw Chen Yumi get down from the car and Zhang Yichan driving off.
without thinking too much he rushed to Yumi.
"Yumi?" - Xu Hao Called her
Hearing his voice, her heart shook.
"That what will come, and must come, shall come" - thought Yumi.
She thought of dealing with Xu Hao after she calmed down a little but he came to find her and that too at the hospital her mother was.
looking at yumi who wasn't responding, Xu Hao went forward and held her hand.
But before he could hold her hand, Chen Yumi turned around and backed away creating a distance between them.
retracting his hand that was hanging mid air, Xu Hao looked at Chen yumi
"Yumi, I know you must be angry but you should at least let me explain myself."
when Yumi didn't say anything and continued looking at him, he hurriedly explained, "whatever you saw last night wasn't entirely the truth."
scoffing his words, Chen yumi asked, "what part of it was not the truth? was it the fact that you were hugging Chen Manting while she was sitting on your lap? or the marks on your neck right now? Looks like you two had a really good time last night."
Hurriedly covering his neck which was full of evidence from last night's rendezvous, Xu Hao cleared his throat and looked embarrased.
"Xu Hao, if not for me, at least have some respect for my mom. you came to the hospital to look for trouble? You must be out of your mind.
I don't think we have anything to talk anymore. I don't want to get involved with anything related to you or the Chen family. So please stop contacting me or trying to look for me." - she said turning around and walking into the hospital.
She hasn't even taken few steps when Xu Hao hurriedly came after her and held her wrist trying to dragging her to his car.
"Xu Hao, what are you doing? leave my hand" - struggled Yumi.
No matter how much Chen yumi struggled, she couldn't get out of his grasp.
she didn't want to make a scene here lest somehow her mother knows about it.
"I know you are angry right now, but I can explain. Come with me first" - said Xu Hao who kept pulling her to the car.
when he was about to pull the car door open to push Yumi in, Xu Hao felt someone strongly grabbing his hand.
he winced in pain and turned around to fight with the person but when he looked at the person his face turned pale.
"How dare you show up here?" - Yichan said twisting Xu Hao wrist.
Xu Hao was in so much pain that he immediately release yumi's hand.
Zhang Yichan parked the car and arrived at the hospital entrance, but Chen yumi was no where. when he looked around he saw a man dragging a woman to the car and within a second he knew it was Yumi.
