Time: Midnight – Two Hours After the Flame Drake Core was Forged
The scent of old metal and wet stone pressed heavy against Ashen's senses as he descended the spiraling staircase carved beneath Mirestone Fortress. Each step resonated with an eerie pulse—as though the very ground remembered the path of hammers and blood.
Behind him followed Myran Emberveil, the Emberforge Master, his burnt-orange robes trailing cinders across the mossy floor. Heqet, in ceremonial armor, flanked Ashen's left, while Jaecar ghosted through the shadows to his right. They were alone save for the forgeflame Myran carried in a cracked obsidian lantern, casting runic light along the walls.
Etched into the stones were ancient symbols, glowing faintly as they passed—runes of creation, destruction, and rebirth. Most had long since faded from history.
