In July of Year 428 of the Fifth Epoch, at the very beginning of the transmigration.
Because of Suah's birth, the "Chained God" had less and less time awake. The original "Right Hand of God," Danitte Tinekerr, also died at this time under the siege of the Indulgence Faction of the Rose School of Thought.
When Liu Bo's consciousness awakened within this body that was only thirty years old, the body's elder sister, Reinette Tinekerr, had just arrived and saved him.
Although Reinette was only Sequence 3 at the time, she was in no way inferior to an ordinary Sequence 2, for she carried an angel-level Sealed Artifact.
"You are not Danitte, and you are not 'God.'" Reinette stared at her "younger brother," seeing through his disguise instantly.
Because she already knew that Danitte was the vessel of "God," Reinette had never been too close to him. But even so, she still noticed that Danitte was not the same as before.
Still, perhaps because she had received an oracle, or perhaps for some other reason, Reinette did not pursue the matter further.
In February of Year 429 of the Fifth Epoch, inside the royal palace of the Highland Kingdom.
Danitte unexpectedly discovered that the original owner's consciousness had not disappeared completely… or rather, "he" had indeed died earlier, but as the "Right Hand of the Chained God," he could revive by borrowing the Chained God's power.
What surprised Danitte was that when the Chained God's consciousness revived, it seemed to have already predicted Danitte's "descent"…
It even cut off, with Danitte's permission, its own connection to its true body by relying on the power of the Unknown Land.
Although Danitte remained wary of the Chained God's consciousness, after long-term interaction, they gradually became friends.
The consciousness of the Chained God taught him many things, and Danitte, in turn, told it many "secrets" only he knew—including stories from novels and TV shows of his previous life.
Unfortunately, in Danitte's memory, at the time he "transmigrated," Lord of the Mysteries still hadn't finished its final volume, so he didn't know what ultimately happened to the Chained God.
Just like that, over a decade passed. During this period, because Danitte had become Liu Bo and no longer lacked "humanity" like he had when he was "Right Hand of God," his relationships with his family gradually grew warmer.
But as Reinette prepared the ritual to ascend to Sequence 2 Ancient Bane, which required her to become a cursed item used by others for at least three hundred years—thus unable to continue providing protection for the Highland Kingdom or the Temperance Faction—the Indulgence Faction resumed their schemes against Danitte.
Thus, after the original owner's closest relatives passed away one after another, Danitte was forced to flee under the guidance of the consciousness cut off from the Chained God.
This period of escape was fraught with danger, and he almost died several times. Fortunately, after entering the territory of the remnants of the Balam Empire, he obtained the protection of the "Pale Queen," Sia Palenque Eggers, and was finally safe.
Danitte was not surprised that the Pale Queen would intervene, because by this time he could barely endure the pollution from the Unknown long enough to read some memories from his previous life as "Alvin."
He knew that a "Wanderer" of the Abraham Family had once come to the Southern Continent and had helped the Pale Queen ascend to the angel level.
Unfortunately, the Mythical Creature form of the Prisoner pathway was unlike that of the Reader, Seer, and other pathways—it could not cut off a portion of the Mythical Creature's organs to explore the Unknown Land. Because of that, he could only obtain this tiny sliver of information… he didn't even have the "coordinates" of the Northern Continent…
In Year 461 of the Fifth Epoch.
Danitte found, under the sea west of Berron Port in West Balam, a ghost ship crafted by Alvin and left near the Southern Continent.
Because it could travel underwater and traverse the extreme conditions of the "Raging Sea," Danitte named it the Flying Highlander.
Relying on this vessel, Danitte successfully reached the Kingdom of Feynapotter on the Northern Continent in the autumn of Year 462.
After that, Danitte changed his name to Daniel and traveled around the Northern Continent until Year 480, when he finally settled in Lenburg.
It wasn't because he wanted to stop, but because his unique nature was sensed by the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, who forcibly brought him to Lenburg.
For the next century, Danitte cooperated with the God of Knowledge and Wisdom's various studies. When the god realized he could not extract the "Unknown," and that because Danitte knew too much—the phantom "Omniscient Eye" placed into the Unknown Land through the "channel" had been completely contaminated, and even His true body had been affected, with the power of the Unknown invading His soul—the God of Knowledge immediately changed His strategy and began a more conciliatory approach.
Fortunately, although He had previously studied Danitte, He had merely restricted Danitte's movements and had not done anything excessive. And once He became "polluted," Danitte gained the leverage needed to restrain Him.
At the same time, because Danitte was already friends with the Chained God's consciousness, he wanted to help Him break free. For this, he needed the wisdom of the God of Knowledge, so ultimately he chose cooperation.
In Year 600 of the Fifth Epoch, Danitte began teaching at Lenburg University and promoted a series of reforms, establishing the academic journal impact factor system.
Afterward, with the help of the God of Knowledge, Danitte began more thoroughly researching the secret of his own "transmigration," as well as the connections and states among each version of "himself."
Then… came the events after Year 745, following the "War of Broken Oaths."
Danitte, along with the descent vessel of the God of Knowledge, entered the abandoned castle at the center of the Delaire Forest to study the Sea of Chaos.
There they discovered the polluted Baron of Conva and Lady Austin.
The Baron of Conva was a descendant of the Death Consul Vicente. Danitte intended to rescue him, but because he was too deeply "polluted," even the Unknown could not pull him back. In the end, taking the advice of the God of Knowledge, he used him in the experiment.
But the result of the experiment would only be confirmed after the Sefirah Castle emerged.
…
Recalling this far, Ebner let out a sigh, for this portion of memory was incomplete. At the very least, the period after Danitte began teaching in Lenburg up until the War of Broken Oaths contained many missing pieces.
Ebner suspected that he himself—or some god—had erased them. After all, during that time, he had likely planned the scheme to deal with the Mother Tree of Desire and free Tolzna…
And leaving these memories intact would allow the Mother Tree of Desire to sense them.
When dealing with a Great Old One, no amount of caution was excessive!
Of course, he sensed that more than just that had been erased… For example, his long-time suspicion regarding the cause of the War of Broken Oaths—there was no trace, no content at all.
