Chapter 15 - 15 black market

After sleeping for about 3 hours i woke up groggily and went outside and had breakfast at the cafe i was in yesterday.

After pondering on what to do for the day i decided to go "shopping" for more clothes And sell them back in my original world.

And i did that untill it was 7 pm.

[Job thief lvl 1/100 > 5/10]

[+2per, +2 agi]

[Stealing 1/100 > 14/100]

I had a ton of clothes in my inventory and it didn't take much inventory space since 50 shirts with different colours were in one inv space.

Since i was done stealing clothes from this town, which is weird but the easiest since changing rooms don't have cameras.

I thought about stealing jewelry but i couldn't really think of a plan on how to go unnoticed so i just stuck to clothes since back in my world these will be worth something but i don't know how many a clothier will buy in bulk but that doesn't matter right now.

Walking into a restaurant i ate a nice meal, went into my hotel and went back to my world and started walking to the town.

When i arrived it was already night so i went into my inn room and trained some of the things silently and then went to sleep.

In the morning i went and bought a crate and filled it with the clothes and placed the crate into my inventory, after that i went to a clothier and showed some of the clothes and we talked about how much he would give me for most of the clothes i owned, we agreed that he would give me 2 platinum coins (200 gold) for everything, since it was professionally made from a good material and quite unique for this world.

'the clothes that i sold are probably going to make him quite a large profit, but it was still worth it' i thought while i started walking away.

'the last ones weirdly specific and wouldn't smelling good to all creatures be bad since most of them will try to eat me or something like that?'

[The mindless or unintelligent monsters will definitely want to try eat you]

'thought so, pick the perk lier'

I started walking towards the A. guild and for the next 3 days i did easy quests mostly along the lines of go here, pick this herb, give it to the guild or kill this animal and skin it.

After completing the 10th quest for the guild at the end of the 3rd day i gained a new job.

[Job adventurer 1/100 common gained]

After that i went back to town and at night i went to some shady looking merchant that i "accidentally" (and by that i meant i was looking around town to find myself in this exact situation) overheard talking to a guy in a strange way such as using The sentences along the lines of "the butcher has just arrived with the horned eagle meat that you ordered, he told me to send you to his his shop to pick it up" with a few people of which 1/3rd of them looked a bit sketchy.

When it was about an hour before most shops closed i walked into his average potion shop and bought a minor healing for 50 silver which healed about 50 hp in 10 seconds.

When i was paying i handed him an extra 5 gold and with a smile i said "by any chance would you know where i could get some "exclusive" items, if you know what i mean".

The man discreetly looked around and seeing that no one was around besides us he said "i see, if you are looking for items that are hard to come by in the regular market the "exclusive" market is around the river district" he handed me a piece of paper that had a weird symbol on it.

"Look for a cemetery there and look for a sewer lid with this symbol, when you enter the sewers look for the same symbol and follow the opposite direction where the arrow points" he said handing me a copper medallion "knock on the door with the symbol 5 times and show this when the door guard asks"he said "pleasure doing business with you" and i left.

Walking to the cemetery i started looking around to find no people and a few minutes later i found the sewer lid with the symbol.

Taking off the lid i climb down the ladder and see that it is really dark so i create a ball of fire and do what the merchant told me after putting on my hood and a black bandana around my mouth.

After 5 minutes i arrive at the door, i disperse the fireball and knock 5 times.

A small peeping hole opens and a guy behind the door says "show me the medallion".

I show it and the guy opens the door and says "go downstairs and and walk straight for 5 minutes and you will find the market".

I nodded and started walking.

Entering the market i see that it is quite big about 0.1% of the whole city.

Looking around i see that it is quite nice if i had to describe it it would look like vegas at night but less modern.

Walking into a shop that sells enchanted items i go to the counter "welcome to Gordon's enchantments my name is gordon, what will it be today? Buying an item or enchanting one of your things" The merchant says erratically and in a excited tone

"I was wondering if you have any item that could hide a part of my power level" i said looking around the shop for what he has in stock and using observe which still shows little to no information besides the name of the item like: [golden ring of defense] what does the ring do? It could create a shield around me or make my skin harder but i don't know.

"Ahh i see that should be the aura suppressor enchantment let me see" he said before walking into the back and putting a silver ring on the counter.

"This ring of aura suppression will hide 40 points of power, i will give it to you for 40 gold" he said while looking at me.

"How about 35 gold" i asked

"I like you and have a feeling we will see eachother much more so i will go down to 36 gold how about it?" He said with a weird smile.

I nodded and handed him the 36 gold while thinking 'i hope i don't need to come here too often' and i walked away out of the shop.

Looking at the ring i thought 'now i can go have my rank raised without looking like i have an super rare job or class'.
