After blessing each miracle potions and handing them out to the healers, I sat on one of the benches that is near the area, to make myself comfortable because blessing an item drains and tires me out more than draining my mana to its extent. Kaya sat beside me.
"How was the portal in China? Were you able to resolve it?"-Demetri.
"Yes, we were able to resolve it but with casualties, a few hunters in China died during battle, the reaper's were getting smarter, or should I say the ones controlling them, they were able to hide from my throne eyes"-Kaya.
"I see, how about in our team, did someone get injured?"-Demetri,
"Jack loses an arm but with the miracle potion bless by Evienne, he was able to grow them back"-Kaya.
"The Darkness Fragment is getting stronger and wiser, I hope for the chains I bound him in would hold him much longer, I'm not certain that we can defeat it now in our state"-Demetri.
"Let's pray for the best outcome"-Kaya.
After the break, I gather all the miasma in the air, like I always did and released the holy energy in the air, we meet with the others and saw that the clearing is still happening. Daniel Craig inform me that the payment for the help has already been transferred to my account and the mana crystals will be sent to our HA, and they can handled it from there.
"Is the clearing done?"-Demetri.
"Yeah, just a few more cleanups, are you taking your leave?"-Daniel Craig.
"We were about to, but before we go, I thought of helping you with the restoration"-Demetri.
I wave my hand as I was chanting restoration and the damage buildings, cars and even the tiniest thing that was damage returns to each former state.
"Wow, you really are on the next level, I saw some hunters who can use restoration but not on this level, you even fixed the tiniest crack"-Daniel Craig.
"We should be going now, I need to go to China to meet my team and do the restoration too if needed, let's meet again in the conference"- Demetri.
Before we teleported, I inform Evienne through telepathy that we will meet them, Kaya, Alice, Stephan and I teleported to China, to the location of the other portal. I saw Evienne, Daya and the others waiting for our arrival.
"How are you guys?"-Demetrri.
I ask them the moment we arrive. I can see and feel the exhaustion in every hunter in the area.
"The crawlers we face before are very different from the ones we face now, they are much faster and smarter, we lost a lot of men and even if we use the miracle potion with Evienne's blessing it does not work, also something is new about them, the venom, they didn't have that before"-Daya.
"Venom? That's definitely new, have you gotten a sample of this venom?"-Demetri.
"I knew you were going to say that so I gather the one's in the cut offed hand of Jack, here"-Daya.
"How she gathered it was very disturbing, I just have to say it"-Jack
I reach for the vial and inspect it, after I smell the venom it become familiar. I already smelled this very venom before when I was with him in the academy, and I knew a way how to cure this.
"I know this very venom, I came across this venom with him when I was still studying in the academy, are there any affected hunters that are still alive or their eyes have not blackened yet?"-Demetri.
"I saw some, the venom seems to affect the bitten differently, might be in the location of the bite, what are you going to do? Do you know how to counter the venom?"-Evienne.
"I actually do, I need to see the bitten now"-Demetri.
We go to the location of the bitten and saw some hunters that are already on the verge of dying. I converse with head healer and told her in her language that I know a way to save the still alive ones. The head healer was hesitant at first but eventually she agreed.
I place myself at the side of the hunter and look at his eyes seeing that it still white and not affected, I ask for Kaya and Alice help and instruct them to keep the eyes open while I told the others to hold the body of the hunter and keep it still even it struggle.
I open the vial of poison and before I pour it down in the hunters eye, I told the hunter, it is going to hurt, so bad he will thought he is dying but he is not, it is the venom eating up the other venom and after the other venom eat up it will be release the in every opening and exit he has.
I just saw the fear in his eyes because he cannot talk with the venom already reaching his mouth, I did not wait any longer and pour the venom in his eyes. He started to convulse because of the pain.
The venom that entered his eyes bit by bit lowered and joined the other venom that was affecting him. The blackened skin that was an indicator of the venom gradually disappeared until it was only a dark circle in the middle of his chest. It begin to discharge in every exit in his body which is much more painful I assume because of how he reacted.
He passed out after all the venom was released in his body, maybe because of the pain. Alice checked the hunter and she said that he was okay and just passed out. The healer hunters of China take over and started doing what I just did.
"How did you know that it will work?"-Stephan.
"It's a crazy story actually, a close friend of mine when I was in the academy, we discovered that his wyvern pet was bitten by this infected plant, which I learned after was an infected healing plant by the darkness fragment, how we discover the cure was much crazier, we spill the poison in the wyvern's face and some entered its eyes, of course at first we thought it died but it eventually came back"-Demetri
"How is that the venom was also the cure?"-Chairman David.
"It's my close friend who actually discovered that, it's because once the venom enters the body, the healing plants properties and the venom separates and when you try to extract the venom from the body, only the healing fluid can be extracted, the healing plant became familiar of the venom and creates an antidote for it but as you just witness the curing is very painful"-Demetri.
"What kind of plant is that?"-Evienne
"I honestly don't know, my close friend is still researching for it when I left the academy and when I came back, we didn't get to catch up, because some stuffs happen"-Demetri.
Remembering the memories I made with him makes my heart ache, especially how things ended between us.
