Chapter 446 - Ch 67 - An Unexpected Visitor

Jun Wu Yi felt his chest tighten with emotion.

For years, he had fought battles, both in the political world and in the shadows, to keep the Jun Family from being swallowed by the greed and ambition of others. He had sacrificed his own future, and had suffered humiliation and pain… all to keep their family afloat.

But now, his nephew was telling him that those days were over.

Jun Wu Yi clenched his jaw. "You truly believe you can stand against the highest powers of this world?"

Jun Mo Xie smiled. "Believe?"

He leaned back, his confidence overflowing. "I don't need to just 'believe,' Third Uncle. I know. Even if the Jun Family were to offend the so-called 'highest powers' of this world, it wouldn't matter. I would crush them."

Jun Wu Yi sucked in a sharp breath.

'That confidence… it wasn't arrogance... It was a certainty.'

For the first time, Jun Wu Yi saw the future of the Jun Family shining brighter than ever before.

He took a deep breath, steadying himself before looking at Mo Xie seriously. "Then… what now?"

Jun Mo Xie's lips curled into a smirk. "Now? I'm done hiding." His voice carried a sharp edge. "It's time for Grandfather and you to experience what true power feels like. I'm going to raise your cultivation, Third Uncle. And when I'm done, even the heavens won't be able to stop us."

Jun Wu Yi's heart pounded. He had never dared to dream that such a thing was possible. But looking into Mo Xie's unwavering eyes…

For the first time, he truly believed.

Just as Jun Wu Yi was about to respond, the heavy wooden doors of the courtyard creaked open, and a servant hurried inside, his expression a mix of urgency and hesitation. He stopped a few steps away, bowing deeply before speaking.

"Young Master, Third Master… The Young Miss of the Dugu Family has arrived."

For a brief moment, silence blanketed the room.

Jun Wu Yi's eyebrows shot up. "The Dugu Family's Young Miss?"

His voice carried a mix of surprise and wariness.

Jun Mo Xie, on the other hand, merely raised an eyebrow and swirled the wine in his cup, his expression unreadable. "Oh? And which one, exactly?"

The Dugu Family was known for its fierce warriors and, more notably, for producing more sons than daughters. There was only one 'Young Miss' in the entire generation, a single rose among a jungle of thorns.

Dugu Xiao Yi, the youngest daughter of the Dugu Family.

The servant swallowed nervously, sensing the sudden shift in the atmosphere. "It is… Lady Xiao Yi, Young Master."

Jun Wu Yi's lips twitched. He knew the name well. The little princess of the Dugu Family was infamous for her reckless behavior, unshakable stubbornness, and, more importantly, her ridiculous infatuation with Jun Mo Xie.

He turned to look at his nephew, who was still lazily leaning back in his chair, his expression cool and indifferent. But Jun Wu Yi had known Mo Xie long enough to catch the faint flicker of amusement in his golden eyes.

'This brat… is enjoying this.'

Jun Wu Yi cleared his throat. "Mo Xie… Did you do something to make that girl chase after you so persistently?"

Jun Mo Xie smirked. "Uncle, you wound me. Do I look like the kind of man who would lead an innocent young lady astray?"

Jun Wu Yi narrowed his eyes. "Yes."

Jun Mo Xie laughed, shaking his head. "How unfair. I merely exist, and women seem to throw themselves at me. Is it my fault for being so charming?"

Jun Wu Yi sighed. "You scoundrel. You must have provoked her in some way."

The servant, still standing awkwardly, cleared his throat. "Young Master… Lady Xiao Yi is waiting outside. She says she won't leave until she sees you."

Jun Mo Xie tapped a finger on the table. "And if I refuse?"

The servant hesitated, then glanced outside nervously. "Lady Xiao Yi said… if you don't come out, she will make a mess of the entire Jun Residence."

Jun Wu Yi rubbed his temples. "That sounds exactly like something she would do."

The Dugu Family was known for being hot-blooded, straightforward, and utterly unreasonable when it came to matters of pride and family. And their only daughter? She was the worst of them all.

Jun Mo Xie sighed dramatically. "Ah, what a headache. And here I thought I could enjoy a peaceful evening drinking wine with my dear uncle."

He then shot Jun Wu Yi a playful glance. "You wouldn't mind handling her for me, would you?"

Jun Wu Yi scoffed. "Absolutely not. This is your mess."

Jun Mo Xie chuckled before gracefully rising to his feet. "Well, since our little tigress is so determined, it would be rude to keep her waiting, wouldn't it? Let her in."

With a lazy stretch, he smirked, his hands clasped behind his back, exuding a devil-may-care attitude. "Come, Uncle. Let's see what trouble awaits us this time."

Jun Wu Yi sighed too, shaking his head. "This nephew of mine… I swear, one day, your luck with women will bring the Jun Family to ruin."

Jun Mo Xie smirked. "Or to greatness. Who knows?"

They heard a mighty rumbling sound.

Dugu Xiao Yi walked into the courtyard, being escorted by seven big and burly men.

She looked even more beautiful, refined, and elegant in contrast to her seven brothers. Her rolled-up black hair looked slightly fluffy, which was being held in place by a crystal hairpin. Her white face looked even more tender and delicate, while her cheery lips were curved in a smile that revealed a hint of joy, and bashfulness at the same time...

A white shawl covered her light green dress, which gently caressed body right down to her waistline. Although the young maiden's body appeared somewhat immature and unripe, it was still curvy and exquisite in its make.

The young maiden stood in the doorway, while her body gleamed brilliantly in the rays of the morning sun. A gentle breeze fluttered past her sleeves; not many people were capable of matching her grace. Jun Wu Yi stared at his nephew, who was looking at the young girl, almost as if he had never seen such a sight in his life before.

Even Jun Mo Xie couldn't help but admire her beauty, and was for a moment... lost in the beauty of the moment.

"What are you looking at? Never seen a beautiful woman before, ah?" Dugu Ying growled unhappily as his burly body stepped sideways, blocking his sister from Jun Mo Xie's line of sight.

It seemed that Dugu Xiao Yi's seven brothers weren't very happy about their sister visiting the Jun residence.

"Oh, how are my beloved Dugu Brothers doing, ah? Do you want some more wine? We have plenty more!" Jun Mo Xie narrowed his eyes.

Dugu Ying suddenly burst out in a loud voice. "Don't look so proud... You fooled us into drinking that stupid wine of yours...."

He suddenly grunted heavily as his face started reflecting a color of embarrassment.
