(looks around to see if anyone is behind him)
"Good. Hahaha!!! I never believed that would work but it did...hahahahaha!!!"
"Those wolves will be pissed once they figure what happened..."
Kale is now running through the deep forest. He is now on his way to the hidden cave that he discovered just a 15 km away from his earlier position. Its quite far but it better. These wolves aren't the best of things to be around. If he wasn't hungry, he would have choosen such a spot.
Along the way, he stumbled upon a tree with modest fruits. Upon using [Analyze] , he was able to determine that it was safe to eat. He grabbed a lot of the fruit, as much as he can grab.
"Interface, show me the position of the hostile targets..."
*ping!
"hmmm...atleast 6 km now...great...those stones worked!!! hahahaha!!"
(Flashback to a few minutes earlier...)
The wolves were quickly approaching his position.
*motions his hands towards the dead beasts
"Storage!"
Storage is a very handy ability. As long as it is within 10 meters from him, he can immediately store it in his subspace. This is great and convenient too. The only downside is that it doesn't work on living things and it is dependent on his Magic Power attributes. He can only store as much items as his magic capacity can handle. But even this can be easily solved if he can increase his level. Of course, that is if he can do that so easily. Right now, he is probably the weakest one in the forest....and the luckiest too...
As he was about to store the last one, he saw some stones. Round stones...the size of his fists. The last beast was bleeding on the side. They are not that heavy but will pack a punch if it hits. There are a lot of it lying nearby. Kale Hesitated for a while but then decided to pick up as much as he can. It was surprising though, stored items will stockpile for as long as it's of the same item. Even if some stones vary but not to a certain degree like bigger ones are stored separately. Right now Kale managed to get 4 different stone sizes, each numbering in the hundred. Picking them up became easy due to [Map and Search].
Kale slowly went for the last beast at last. While holding a few stone, he reached into the beast's body. These will be his trump card for later.
A few moment more and satisfied with his preparation, Kale finally made his way to the hidden cave. It is quite far but this is not Earth, 15 km here is nothing when you have skills like [Sprint]. Although it takes a lot of stamina, it will save him that is for sure.
Kale motions his hand and a wet stone appears...
*swoooosh!!!
(he throws the stone upwards)
Without looking where it landed, he immediately soaks his hands in the water and run frantically along the river....
To put things in perspective, the river was going to a different direction than the cave. However, thinking about this, Kale still decided to follow the path of the river. It will take him away for a couple of kilometers from his target but this is also his was of throwing the wolves off his track. He can run and reach the cave easily but the wolves might just follow him. While activating his [Sprint] skill, Kale run as fast as he could. After a few breath the position of the wolves changed in the map...
This is dangerous...although the 12 wolves ran opposite his running direction, the other two ran towards him. Another wet stone appeared in his hands and he threw it again into the air vertically. Immediately he jumped into the river. It made a disturbance but its unavoidable right now. After the waves settle...rushing footsteps are heard. That was the other Ashen Wolf the map was telling him. The wolf stopped for a while, trying to look for something. It seem to have discovered a scent but can't fully tell what or where it was. The wolf can only tell that these scents that they are trying to find smells differently and has a bloody odor.
At this moment, the stone dropped a few distace away. Kale monitors the map. If his diversion works, he'll escape this predicament.
*growls
(wolf swiftly turns towards the direction of the stoned that just dropped.)
*barks
"Awooooooo!!!!!!"
(proceeds to run.)
When Kale saw this movement, he went out of the water on the opposite side and started running again.
After a few hundred meters, he found a hollow tree trunk. He did not dare touch it to avoid any big movement. It was quite big, about a meter in length and thick as well except for its hollow center. He then put a bunch of the bloody stones inside the trunk and slowly set it off the river to float farther away. He then took out three more bloody stones and throw them in the opposite direction to his destination and leading to the river. Those wolves will surely find these stones later.
After washing his hands, he finally made his way to the hidden cave.
(touches a rock wall)
All that running from earlier exhausted Kale. But despite all that...he knew he can't rest yet. His way of drawing attention elsewhere may have worked for now but it's still not safe to be out here in the wilds just yet. Luckily, he is now in front of the cave.
A bunch of rocks are blocking the entrance. From the looks of it, this side of the mountain once had a collapse....landslide or whatever. Then during that event, the entrance to the cave got plugged by the rocks.
After storing all the rock pile into his storage several times, Kale was finally able to reach the largest rock that blocks the entrance. Although he can see smaller openings on the side and corners, he finally decided to store this large rock.
The entire entrance was quite big, probably about 3-4 meters in diameter. The path was also on a slow downwards.

(he's hesitant to go in)
"Interface, search for all the types of beast and animals inside this cave!"
*ping!
Search result.
-Too many slimes
-Too many bats
-Too many small critters
*sigh
" Good thing no snakes. But this area here is full of bats..."
"Slimes aside, I am not particularly fond of bats."
Kale looks around and luckily he found what he was looking for...a weird lengthy shaped protruding rock and a large branch about a meter long. He stored the rock right away and took the branch.
At this point he checked his map only to see that the wolves are following the trail of the last stones he threw. In a while they will surely find the floating hollow tree. By then it will be very far from here.
huh?!
(looks at the map of the cave)
"Are those slimes gathering? Underground river? huh?"
Kale's attention was drawn to a certain spot of monsters. It seems to be a breeding ground for slimes. Everyone know what this means. When you play online MMORPG, spots like these are heaven sent for grinding.
Especially for him....a lowbie.
"hahahahaha lucky"
(proceeds to reblock the entrance by taking out the large rock again from the inside)
Hours later....
A bloody figure was standing on a pile of monster corpses. It was a scene of massacre. On the ground...you can see that this pile is only made up of one type of monster.
However...too many of that kind...
