"At this point, I think you were lying to me about the outburst he normally has each morning," Natsumi-san said as we were getting ready to leave for our morning jog. She seemed to be acting as if everything was fine, but I know for a fact she has a terrible headache going on at this moment. Need to make some miso soup for her breakfast.
"Well, Ethan decided it was going to be a good idea to let me try to attack him instead today," I said, tying my shoelaces. "Tried is the key word here."
"Don't tell you were just flailing your arm at him for hours and not able to get a single hit in," she said jokingly, and I lowered my head in shame.
"It's going to be okay, Kazu-kun, I know you looked cool even during that," my lovely angel of a girlfriend here tried her best to make me feel better, and I can't be anything but grateful for the gesture.
