Freyja and her companions had also encountered the Golden Fish Poison and the Seven-Colored Tail Secret Poison, knowing that the Path of Origin was a special area that could not be reached by normal means, and all the information on paper was a puzzle. Until the answer was deciphered, any effort was in vain.
So they knew they were finished—they were the first generation of explorers on the Dream Stairs, with no legacy information to uncover, no paths tread by predecessors to follow.
If they wanted to travel the Path of Origin, they had to start from scratch to discover new secret poisons and become pioneers chased by future generations!
This task was daunting enough to make one's scalp tingle. It would be more sensible to diligently study the Magic Realm, at least it's an achievable pursuit, whereas secret poison research could become a lifelong abyss if the right direction wasn't found.
