After seeing those adjuchas, i noticed that they seem to have noticed me as i could see and feel them watching me as the descended from the cliff they were on seemingly dismissing the gillians around me.
The tensions were high as six adjuchas came down to me, while i was already planning on how to escape if in any case a fight broke out which was most likely to happen, and i doubt i could take on six adjuchas on my own especially the werid looking one among them.
It didn't take long before one of them step forward he looked insect like with his body covered mostly in white bone like carpace and six arms with three on each side and clawed hands with an ant like abdomen. He was the one with the highest spirit energy at of all of them and me.
"My name is Beru and these are my companions, we are the ones in charge of this area" ok so his most likely the leader if thats the case " My name is--", 'oh i-i don't remember my name'." My name is kimimaro and am just a hollow passing through" i said.
Beru nods as he says" yes we know thats why we came to meet you, you see it's been a while an adjucha has been born normally it takes time for a gillian to turn to an adjucha but you did that in a time i have never seen and not only that, you have a much higher spirit energy than most." okay i knew that i advanced fast but i didn't think it was that fast." Ok, i got strong fast why are you telling me this".
One of the hollows in the back growled at me but didn't move as beru raised his arm before he spoke."The reason i am telling you this is because i and my companions acknowledge your strength and we wish for you to join us." He raised one of his clawed hand showing me to shake it.
"Thanks but no thanks i don't think i'll be joining you." The tension rised as the hollows behind him spoke" I knew it, i told you we should have just ate him let's kill him." one spoke " What you think you better than us" another spoke as they all said their opinions I was getting ready to run if i had the chance, before beru raised his hand and his reiatsu rised pressuring all of us though while i shook it of it shut his group up.
"I respect that you don't want to join us, but do you why we formed this group of ours you see we hollows are predatory creatures and we live in a world where the strong prey on the weak so_"." So you made a group because you are weak?". Growllll" No, we made a group because it would beneficial for us think about it we control this place so we control the food source while also making sure that enemies would think twice to attack us plus there is a balance of evolution".
"A balance of evolution?"."Yes as it is, out of the gillians here there are only a handful of them that would become adjuchas and even then we would need to continue to devour as to not regress as regression means that we may never become an adjucha again so, we eat those that show no signs of evolution. It is an ever lasting cycle of hunger and death".
"I see but i cannot join you as my goal is to become a vasto lorde, and joining you would only slow me down". I said but as i did the other hollows in the group seem to think it funny"Hahaha what, do you think it's that easy?"."Are you dumb?"."Lets just eat him". they said
"Enough!!". As his reiatsu comes down on us once more shutting them up"Why?". He asks me"why what?"."Why is that your goal?"."What do mean why, isn't it obvious it is something etiched into us as our basic instinct to feed, to evolve why would i not follow it"."Instinct?, i see and what makes you sure you can reach such a level?"."Well i won't know if i don't try and i won't reach it being in your group as you won't as well". Honestly have been thinking about it and i couldn't get why he his working with them his definately stronger than all of them and slightly stronger than me as i felt his reiatsu.
"Me?"."Yeah, why are you with them i can sense that you are the strongest of all of us here and more so than your group why do you work with them?"."Why do i?". Before i could continue, i felt spirit energy build up as i saw one of his members point one of this fingers at me as a glowing green orb was gathering. Moving out of pure instinct only, i narrowly dodged the cero aimed at me.
"BOOM!!!" An explosion happened behind me killing some gillians.
"I don't care if you want to be a vasto lorde or not, but you aren't escaping from us". One of the hollows said. Quickly thinking on my feet i moved forward but not before kicking up some sand to cover there vision.
Moving past beru i was surprised that he didn't attack but continued none the less quickly reaching the first hollow, i dodge his fist that was coming towards me by crouching before grabing some dirt and srapying his mask to blind him, which seem to work as he stepped back while holding his face giving me the opportunity to strike but not before his friends came in and attacked.
With all three in front of me i jumped backwards while opening my mouth that was producing a cero during my first attack. considering the distance between us i doubt they could escape i thought as i unleashed it.
It didn't kill them as they manged to block barely on time, but it was enough for them to be out for now i couldn't focus on the thought before i felt someone behind me i tried to move but i wasn't fast enough. Pain was what i felt as i felt blood pouring from my wound."Sneaky little bastard you nearly killed them but you should have kept your guard up".He says as he retracted his to tongue to his mouth and licked the blood.He looked like a humanoid chameleon.
He then proceeds to disappe-no camaflouge himself as i could still feel his presence but it was all most none existant i had one thought 'He can't live'.I looked back to the last of them he looked like a giant preying mantis and he seemed to be considering something but forgetting all of that, i dodged a tongue strike from the reptillian hollow while jumping backwards to gain some space.
I couldn't let him sneek up on me i had to focus. I concentrated as hard as i could while also keeping check on the other one. and just like before a tongue came at me but only this time i didn't just dodge i was able to hold on to his tongue."Got ya"."How i -i wasul swour you coun't scee andt fwel me".
"I couldn't but that dosn't mean i can't see the steps you make, i saw you move on the sand".Pointing my finger at him he tried to move but couldn't, as i held his tongue a cero connected and killing him."four down".
I turned to the other two as beru seemed to still be in thought but i could see the mantis hollow on guard and i wonder why he didn't attack but never the less, i put my finger up and i fired but not at the hollow no i shot at the ceiling, and it seemed that it was enough to bring beru out of his thoughts"hmm, what, did you--".
I didn't let him continue before i said"So you're back, anyway i meant what i said that you could be stronger and that you should follow your instincts". I didn't give him time to think before i jumped away and headed to the ceiling hoping to get out of this cavern and see the top of hueco mundo.
