It's been two weeks since mum was laid to rest. Surprisingly my siblings have adapted really well to not having her around, although she was never really around when she was alive because of all her part time jobs but now that she's gone I guess we've all learnt to live without her. It'll definitely be tough but we'll survive. We all have to.
I received an email from GREYSON, a multi billion dollar software company to come for an interview today. It was one of the companies I sent my CV to two weeks ago and am super excited that they considered me for the job.
I decided to wear my long black turtleneck top with a leopard skin skirt, a nude heel and one of my black bags. I decided to spice up the look with a black belt. I love my look when I checked the mirror. It was simple and classy just how I like it.
I got to the company at exactly 8:45am. The interview was scheduled to start by 9am but have always love to be at least 15 mins early. I was really surprised with the number of applicants that are here. The hall was big enough to fit in two to three hundred people and it was full to the brim. A lady with the Elena announced that the new comers like myself should go and have our names registered which I did.
There will be three stages of this interview. You all have passed the first stage for you to have been invited here for the second stage. You all will be directed to a hall where you will write the test and the qualified applicants will be called for the final stage of the interview which is the physical interview. Good luck. As Elena announced we were soon directed to a hall that has lots of systems to take the test. There were different sections in the exam hall for different applicant's with each applicant's numbers attached to the system. I searched for where my job title in the hall was, which was HR officer and found my number before taking my sit.
We were given one hour to write the test. Most of the questions were about current affairs and about the company's products and services. I made sure I answered the questions to the best of my ability before leaving the exam hall.
I got a message around twelve noon that I passed the second stage and I could proceed to the 14th floor for the final stage.
I was interviewed by a bunch of scary people but I nailed it. They asked me to start work on Monday but I was told that I won't be working in the HR department. They told me that the CEO needed someone like me as his personal assistant or secretary and they asked if it was fine by me and I said yes because at this point I honestly don't mind. I just desperately need a job to support myself and my siblings.
I got home to meet the presence of a young man have never seen in my life. He actually looks kinda scary.
