Chapter 58 - CHAPTER 57

Everything went fine for so many months afterwards. It took time, but all dragons started warming up to Trinity, not seeing someone as superior to them, but as equal.

Everyone found out about her pregnancy when she suddenly passed out on a hot day in the park, and had to be rushed to the clinic. She had to reveal why she had been feeling sick and to her surprise, everyone welcomed the news.

Around her sixth month mark, Dr Elise told her that she needed to stay in a cool place, as she is worried that the growing child might get 'too hot', as she's a fire breather, and her baby a water breather. She wasn't allowed to call on her dragon, as the temperature would 'burn' the embryo.

Dr Elise even gave her a list of foods to consume and avoid, as a dragon baby needs lots of care during this growth period.

Trinity left most of the decision making on her friends, only getting involved in major ones.

Night times were the hardest; especially since her mom had to return home. She had some very important surgery to be done and the patient had requested for Dr Dorin Croven. She did try to visit regularly, but most times she had to return back, but they FaceTimed often.

She always wore the ring that Tyrone gave her. It reminded her of the day he proposed... they were both so happy. She also kept in contact with Taylor King.

She hadn't heard a word about Marcus, but she was a little worried. He's a master of deception.

She's now in her late 3rd trimester, and the Dr Elise told her she can go into labor any time, so someone was always with her; even when it wasn't necessary, since she could mindlink them if she felt her contractions, but her doctor friend had suggested someone stay because mindlink could prove futile when you cannot think clearly.

Today, Emeralda was sitting across from her, reading about caring for infants in magazines Dorin dropped off on her last visit.

"Hey Trin, how would I know when the baby needs you when I'm looking after her?... like would she cry differently or something?" Emeralda asked, looking at her friends belly.

"What? No... I don't know, this is my first pregnancy you know!" Trinity replied, sipping a cup of cold milk as though it was too hot to drink.

"Yeah, I forgot..." The tall skinny, pale girl with beautiful green eyes went back to her reading. She had been asking lots of questions, but Trinity didn't mind, she was glad that aquamarine would have an aunt who loves her.

Just as Emeralda opened her mouth to say something, she gasped. Trinity looked at her, but before she could ask anything, her friend got up, looked Trinity straight in the eye, and asked, "Do you smell that?"

"Smell what?"

"I have to go see what it is... it's like the smell is calling to me..."

Before Trinity could say something, her friend jolted through the door.

An hour goes by, and Emeralda strolls in, smiling and blushing. Trinity was pacing the beside the bed, as the doctor had said that it helps with the delivery.

"What happened?" She asked, stopping to face her.

Emeralda blushed. "It's... I don't know."

Trinitys concern turned to smiles. "Who is he?"

"What? No it's not that!" "Don't lie, I know that look," Trinity said, eyes wide with happiness.

"He's the most handsome man I've ever seen..." her friend began in a dreamy voice. "Blue hair, green eyes, tall and pale... I think I'm in love..."

"That's amazing. Did you talk to him? What's his name? Is he from around here? And when am I meeting him?..."

"Calm down Trin. He's name's Abel. He is one of the surviving water breather who was sent to the 'war' by the Dragon Lord when he was fifteen..., and I was twelve."

"War? Where was he all this while?" Trinity asked, wondering what happened to other dragons who were sent to a fake war and what stopped them from returning.

"I didn't really go into that details," Esmarald said, returning to her usual self. "I never really thought about that."

"Well, when can I meet this handsome man of yours?"

"Whenever you want."

"I think I'll wait until after giving birth. What if I'm talking to him and my water breaks... it'll be so embarrassing." Both girls laughed.

Aquamarine Sab-rin Oceans was born two days later in Craven Falls Hospital, with her mother by her side, and her friends waiting outside the labour and delivery room.

As Trinity held her child in her arms, all the pain of a complicated birth melted into thin air. This was her reason to live again, and enjoy life. "I love you my baby... and I really miss you daddy. He would have been the happiest man alive today," she whispered, hugging her child a little tighter, as if to protect her from the world.

Back home, everyone welcomed their little princess; the first baby dragon born into a world without the constant fear of a tyrant they called Ryphonsus.

Trinity was able to meet Abel Waters, a water breather, who revealed that they had been held as prisoners in a huge fortress built many feet underground and had no way of escaping; until news of the dragon lord's demise came. They were suddenly free.

Trinity's mom advised her to start dating when Aquamarine was a little older. "I'll think about it," was all she'd reply, knowing deep down inside that she would never fall in love with anyone like she felt for Tyrone.

She stayed in the castle, in her old room, rescuing lost dragons and setting rules that would benefit everyone.

Going out to the human world would take time, but she was already making arrangements with her mother and father about setting private tours and accommodations so young dragons could actually step out of their cocoons and spread their wings in the outside world.

This is Trinity Grove, a young girl who went from not knowing what was wrong with her, to becoming the dragon lady within a year. She's a dragon. She's a witch. And she's a mother who wants her child to know who she is; what she is.

THE END.
