The hatred was passed down from one ice queen to another. For Serendia was left broken and her heart was filled with sadness and vengeance. Serendia and Tiana shared the same loneliness about their father leaving them and disappearing without a single word because he knew that if he saw Serendia he won't be able to leave.
For the future of all of his descendants he had to do this. He needed to do this deed or he won't be able to be able to see himself in the mirror and his master because he couldn't give them a fighting chance against the gods. Under the guidance of Sir Ikaros and Madam Lopez he lead the mission and after a century it resulted in failure.
The hatred of the Ice Queen was passed down to her descendant Tiana who later married and after 3 generations and Tiana changed her surname and her was blessed with a boy. Tiana taught him everything that he knew and she passed her sorrow and resentment onto him.
And he improved his magic with the help of the mage tower and he directly worked under Madam Lopez. She was very impressed at how well he handled cold and she officially recognized him as the descendant of the Ice Queen . He was coronated as the New Ice King.
After a few years he married a beautiful girl and they were blessed with a girl. Who is the current descendant of the title of the Ice Queen carrying a diluted rage and one day she got to know about the her great grandfather's deeds. From her father.
And the generational rage was poured in a new vessel. Albeit, the rage was lessened to the point where the defendant could think clearly about the reason.
The question which occurred albeit the wrath was.
" Why would a person serving as the right hand ma of the Head would suddenly disappear". What happened so suddenly that he had to take his two daughters and run".
Finally tired from the lies of the society Vania Frost left for the same tall and cold mountain which housed her mother. But this time she did not mana dissociation disorder. She willingly isolated herself by starting the blizzard. Her faith from the God's and the Foundation was shattered.
And the same foundation came to beg her to fight for them in the war.
The Ice Queen was already hostile towards Jay but now with Roy's arrival. She raised her eyebrows over her dismay. As it was the prized disciple of the King and her great grandfather Roy Williams stood before her. But he had arrived here not as her grandfather but as a disciple of the foundation. His face remained expressionless. But internally he knew everything.
Roy:
Vania Frost, i am here as you desired.
Vania was angered by the audacity and such unsightedness he displayed in front of her.
Vania:
My great grand father who has caused so much sorrow in by bloodline. How are you?
Roy:
I am here on official duty Vania, I dint have the time to comply with your attention seeking behaviour.
Jay when he heard that Vania was her great grand daughter he was confused. For both of her daughters had perished in Chroma means that there was a third daughter.
Jay:
You had a third daughter?
Roy: warning Jay
I will strike you down if you ever think of associating with her. The day the war is over is the day you shall pay for your sins.
Roy who had reappeared also carried his grudge with him.
Vania :
Great grandfather, I desire answers from you.
While their ancestors would have struck down Roy. Vania was being reasonable with her demands.
Roy :
I cannot divulge this secret. You do not have the security clearance.
Vania:
Grand father, you have indirectly meddled in my life more than enough. For all the sorrow you have caused to my grand mother and my mother. You shall pay for it with your blood.
The air became colder as it became even harder to breath.
The Ice Queen summoned ice soldiers and attacked Roy.
Jay during this battle was completely ignored.
Soldiers of ice rose from the ground and dropped from the ceiling like stalactites.
But Roy was not having it. Deep within his heart he was happy to have a descendant. But it was clouded within his responsibility and his guilt. That he somewhere along his path had forgotten.
Even now Roy remembers his daughters turning into ashes in front of him.
A surge of electricity covered the battlefield. And with lightning fast speed all of the Ice soldiers were put to rest by Roy.
Roy :
Vania Frost, this will be my final formal warning. Do not resist. Or the consequences will be grave.
But Vania didn't comply and kept attacking him with his ice magic while Jay could only watch from the sidelines.
But it was over once again in a flash. As Roy used lightning magic to accelerate himself and disable Vania.
He took her body on his shoulder and walked besides Jay towards the icy door.
But in the wake of the moment. Vania woke up and stabbed him with an ice dagger with runes engraved into them.
Straight to his heart. But his skin was resistant to such attacks and the shard broke. The runes were now engraved on Roy's body as he reflexively threw her at the wall quite forcefully.
Roy could feel his skin burning.
Roy screamed at Vania
Roy :
WHAT DID YOU DO?
And Vania while coughing blood replied with utter delight.
Vania :
This is the Curse of the Frozen Heart. Just like you failed my grandmother when she needed the most. Your heart will freeze over when you will need it the most.
Roy clutched his chest as he felt chills on his body. And Vania was struggling to stand.
Jay tried to help Roy but he refused as he once again walked towards Vania and picked up up this time fully disabling her and rendering her unconscious
But before leaving Roy with those same eyes from Chroma he looked at Jay. He remembered the logs the King had shown him but he still couldn't get himself to forgive him.
And leaving a trail of black lightning Roy vanished just as fast. Jay was somewhat relived when he thought that he had gone missing but seeing him returned made Jay remember every detail of Chroma as if he was experiencing the event once again.
After a few minutes Jay also left the icy mountain and returned to the capital. This journey took him two hours while flying.
The scientist were able to procure good flight data and suggested some improvements over his movements to make his movement more streamlined and efficient.
Because there was no combat. Combat Data was incomplete.
Jay wanted to crash out once again. But the King was sending out on random missions. The day was about to end and set the countdown to T-4.
But one thing didn't sit right with Jay. In his previous conversation with Phoenix he mentioned about how he worked with his senior Roy. But if Jay's mathematics was correct then he shouldn't be able to meet Roy Williams at all. Phoenix had himself confirmed that his age is around the twenties. And Roy was trapped in a time prison as well and had only recently escaped the time prison so how would Phoenix meet Roy. It doesn't make any sense.
Jay thought that Phoenix might be terminally ill to see someone who wasn't there at all. Or there was something much deeper at play. But his only concern was to beat X at his game. And not die.
Meanwhile, at the headquarters.
Phoenix was giving his report to the King while Roy stormed in rage.
PHoenix:
There are rumors that the remnants of the cursed sun cult, have formed another cult this time worshipping someone known as the Eclipsed.
Similarly, this name was also mentioned my Evan Swan during his investigation. Except the name we haven't been able to find a single link which would lead us anywhere.
King:
Rest for today, we shall Countinue this tommorow.
Roy was once againstood before the King looking at him with bloodshot eyes with intense wrath that could kill a lion with just a stare.
Roy:
How much more are you hiding from me.
Roy:
Until the last moment, I never knew I had a descendant. I thought I had lost everything.
KIng:
After our act of insubordination do you still believe you deserve any answers.
Roy:
I just wanted what was the best for my daughter's. And to the Immortal foundation as well. My loyalty has not yet wavered even the slightest.
King:
I have never questioned your loyalty. You are worthy of such praise.
Just then the King noticed an abnormal mana signature coming from Roy's body. From his chest.
King:
I'm detecting an unusla mana signature. Show me your body.
Roy removed his suit and the King was displayed the curse that had been implanted on his body.
King:
You've been cursed?
Roy:
My family as resented me so much that they cursed me.
I was cursed with my heart freezing in the most critical moment.
King:
This spell is complex but I'm sure we can undo the curse.
Why haven't you gotten yourself by curse specialists yet.
I can't have you dying in the middle of the war due to the curse.
Roy:
Master, please allow me carry these burden. It seem that because of my paranoia I have caused immense sorrow to my wife Serendia, my daughter Tiana and her descendants.
King:
Then, I shall implant the same curse on you the moment the war is over. Now get it treated.
Roy didn't budge from his position. And the King had to finally accept the fact. That the time when his heart might freeze will be when Roy finally gets vengeance for what he did.
The King many times attempted to dissuade Roy from taking such a drastic action. How because of his own action he was responsible all along not Jay. But nothing seemed to work on him.
For him the only thing capable of giving him salvation was Jay's death. But he is wrong. The moment he will complete his vengeance. He will have nothing to live for anymore.
He will become a husk existing in an era where Noone will accept him. And plunge him in the depths of despair. The King had predicted all of this. So he tried his hardest.
Even had to unveil his secret of his surviving descendant.
Who was being held captive in the Foundation. But Roy was barred from meeting her. Even though he wanted some closure. He was deemed dangerous as their captive might try to kill their great grand father.
