Finally the girl had completed her rehabilitation. And cured from mana dissociation disorder. She was plated with the mana channel blocking drug which covered her entire right shoulder. The rest of the mana channels were deemed to be funcitionable. She was finally free from the curse which had haunted her for years but she had to pay a heavy price for it.
The price being she had to lose everything from her kingdom to her master. Even she was finished rehabilitation she was left with a glaring question in the back of her mind
"When all of this is over, where will I even go"
After spending time in rehabilitation she had gotten to used to her environment. he staff were kind and sympathetic to her situation. Everyday where she had to worry about the food and the play the game of being the hunter or the hunted. Here she received a hot meal 3 times a day. It lacked a little bit of spice but even just eating that food was enough to move her to tears.
She felt the warmth of sunlight which she had never felt in many years to come.
Her skin wihich had become too pale slowly returned to normal. The doctors had to supply her with Vitamin D the most as her body wasn't able to make their own due to a lack of sunlight. During this period Roy Williams would visit her time to time sometimes after returning from a mission, sometimes just running away from his parents nagging him about marriage. And sometimes to escape the wrath of his master.
But during these small visit, Roy bought her small gifts which would be sometimes be confiscated by the hospital staff because they protocols and would be detrimental to the patient's health.
One day, Roy jokingly asked her
Roy:
You're almost weeks away before getiing out of here. Have you thought about what you want to do yet.
The more frequent Roy visited him the more and more Serendia opened upto him. At first she was just a person who's heart had been frozen literally. But soon she felt the warmth she so desperately needed.
Serendia:
I have been thinking for the past few months about what I want to do now. But I don't have the answer yet.
Serendia:
On one hand I want to explore the world that I've been shunning for a long time. But on the other hand I don't want to be left a lone again.
I want a family which would stay by my side this time.
When she uttered the word family. Serendia's joy slightly fell. The girl who laughed loudly was just looking at Roy with a sad smile.
Roy before he could say something received a call from his master.
Roy accepted the call.
Roy:
Good afternoon, master.
King:
Where are you Roy Renard Williams!!!.
Roy:
Sir, I am working on the task you hav assigned me.
This made the kig even more angrier.
King:
Roy, do you take your master for a fool!!!. I know you are with the Ice Queen. And I know you have been disobeying my orders to meet her.
King:
There will be consequences, Roy.
Saying this the King ended the call and when he did it sent shiver down Roy's spine. He thought about what could happen. Will he be punished with more rigorous training or be given more and more tiring missions. Or maybe he would be given the worst punishment handling manual paperwork. Roy Williams was ready to do anything but paperwork.
Once just to escape the pain of manual paperwork he burned the files. As an act of retaliation. And the King punished him severely by making him work even more hours, putting him incharge of recovering the original documents and also He was to become Madam Maria's guinea pig for her range test and curses program.
He did not want to see the time once again. As just hearing the word consequences made him remember the time when he was the guinea pig.
His head spun and fear was visible on his face. That's when Serendia's held Roy's hand and her cool touch snapped Roy from his delusions to the real world.
Serendia:
You don't have to do this for me. I'm already great ful for giving me a second wind in my life. You can leave don't stay with me anymore, I will handle everything myself.
Serendia's said this by putting the largest and fakest smile humanity had ever seen. And hearing his Roy wasn't able to control himself for much longer.
Roy sat besides her as he in one go tried to voice his own feelings.
Roy:
I want to say something would you hear me out.
Serendia agreed to hear Roy out
Roy:
I have always believed that love was just a mix of hormones which cursed through the body. Oxytocin, Serotonin and other hormones coursing through the body.
But I've never felt this happen with anyone. I've met many women in my life who had everything beauty, wealth, influence but I never felt anything towards them.
Roy was completely serious.
Roy:
But the day I met you for the first time. I was astounded. At first I was myself unclear about what Iwas experiencing. Maybe it was piy, maybe I just wanted to help as a friendly person.

Roy when inquired about her age to the doctor he was told that half a century might have passed but her biological age is barely changed by a year.

Serendia thought about it long and hard for a moment but the answer was always before her. Before she could make the mistake of declining Roy. She held Roy's hand and reciprocated with his feelings.

The door of the [patient room swung open with such force that the entire door broke.

Roy:

Ikaros looked at Serendia with skeptical eyes.
Ikaros:
So you are the descendant of the Ice Queen. I'm glad to hear that there is someone who can Countinue her lineage.
But Ive found much more joy to hear your love.
Roy:
Might I inquire about your presence.
ikaros:
Your master has sent me. He told me that your were yearning to train in the mountains with me.
When Roy heard the words train he used lightning magic to speed himself up as much as he could and tried to run from Ikaros who at that time just had a sword which had 53 swords attached to it.
But no matter the result Ikaros caught him red-handed and smiled at Roy and the gave a gentle smile to Serendia.
Ikaros :
Where are you Going leaving your lover here.
Ikaros calmed down Roy and said
"I'm not a demon, to interrupt ypur personal time."
Saying this Ikaros left. Once again leaving the two by themselves and an awkward atmosphere.
6 months later
Serendia completed her rehabilitation and she was living along with Roy..Who taught her everything about the world of the future.
Roy was rushed to the mountain to train with Ikaros and those days were so awful that Roy could never forget them. But by the end he came back much stronger than before.
Roy and Serendia spent much more time together and got much closer and finally they married each other. And a few year later they were blessed with three daughters. Rachel, Laura and Tiana.
