She saw the child that chased after her heels asking her questions about everything she saw during the day, her mother being her font of knowledge and she couldn't bear to snap at her like a viper.
The two engaged in a standoff, words repeatedly failing to escape beyond Freyja's lips as she endured Khione's childlike expression. Her defences gradually breaking down until she eventually admitted defeat with a deep sigh.
