Nothing but lava surrounded Alex on all sides as he stood far above the main island. The smog had weakened a lot since the early days, allowing for much-enhanced visibility of the surrounding area. Not that it did him much good at all.
Scarlet, Whisker, and Shumi gathered around him as well. The older Alex and Emily, as well as the Playground, had been placed back into his Soul Space, arriving back where it used to be.
Alex stared down at the massive island, the last task remaining for him while still in this realm.
"Ray," he called out softly.
Ray appeared in a blaze next to him, remaining afloat with wisps of yellow flame rising from his body.
"Is there anything else left for me to do?" he asked. "Have I taken in all the other islands and places available under your control?"
