Alex began merging the separate spaces into one, merging the smaller ones first before moving toward the larger ones. The 80 separate spaces became 40 after a short while and 20 not long after that.
It became slightly more difficult once it reached 20, as the islands were now four times as large in general, requiring more of his spiritual sense to look everywhere.
The larger space also meant that when the two spaces merged, the rebound of them snapping into one was stronger, requiring Alex's immediate attention, lest he let entire islands shatter from the force.
Once there were 20 or so remaining, Alex stopped merging them with each other and instead started merging them with the Demon Realm.
For that, however, Alex needed to make sure everyone was out of his Soul Space for the moment.
