"What's that?" Alex was the first to notice something shining golden far away. It stood out quite a bit despite them being over half a day away from reaching it. A certain haze made it difficult to see anything beyond just that golden shine.
"You can see it already? Impressive," Bai Jingshen said. "We're close by now, to the White Tiger's Palace."
Everyone perked up. They continued watching what lay far before them, and as they did, they too saw the golden light as they approached.
The golden light turned out to be a golden bubble, which Bai Jingshen explained was the defensive formation around the White Tiger's Palace. So long as you entered that particular section, you would have arrived at the Palace itself.
Alex expected to reach the palace anytime soon now and even as they got closer, the barrier was still far away. His eyes widened slowly in shock as he saw the size of the barrier grow bigger and bigger, soon dwarfing mountains like it was a bush next to a large tree.
