As Alex's body regenerated once more, he turned around quickly, trying to see if it was really who he thought it was.
Far away, next to the corpse of a giant bird with bones on its outer body, Death stood perfectly still. Her black hair flowed down the side of her head, completely unkempt, and her face was white with no tan whatsoever.
It was unclear from the distance what sort of clothes she was even wearing. Her entire body was covered in blood that had hardened over the many years, making it look like she had black armor.
Her arms weren't covered, however, showing the white skin again. And in her right hand, she held a black sword.
Alex barely saw the sword flicker when his head flew off once again.
It took him a moment to realize he had died again. When he came back, he was in bated breaths. A chill went up his spine as he failed to even understand when she had attacked him at all.
He couldn't see at all.
There was but just a single flicker, and—
He was cut once again.
