Ice spears greeted the shorter alien's exit from the area isolated by the storm. They had taken him by surprise, making full use of the disappearing blinding purple-red light, but that hardly mattered against the evolved warrior's obliterating presence.
The spells lost their sharp tips, bodies, and origin as they neared the shorter alien, disappearing in a matter of seconds. The black evolved warrior even expected that, not slowing down at all, to reach his target as soon as possible.
