This was something that should have been expected, but Angel's understanding of the Magic Academy wasn't yet deep enough to think of it immediately.
The academic affairs post in the Student Union, especially the Vein Council, could be described as the gathering spot for slackers in the entire Magic Academy. What does it mean to have a top student enter this den of slackers?
It's probably equivalent to a general from an enemy nation defecting to your camp. Wouldn't you light lanterns and hang banners to welcome them? Even if it doesn't bring any tangible benefits, it's definitely a reputation-boosting event.
