The Holy Power and the Power of Fall originate from the same source and thus can transform into each other. Since Shamara is the Star God Half Body, essentially a descendant of the God Star, she can contaminate Divine Star Power, but she and the Ancient Man Snake share no common origin, so the Power of Fall cannot contaminate it.
But the inability to contaminate is one thing; if it absorbs it itself, that's its own problem.
