Chapter 685 - A little nice

"Now you will know what it truly feels like to be sorry!" Maddie exclaimed. She pinned him down with her magic and rubbed off all the blue powder on her onto him.

Annie and Matt could not even interfere with what was going on, they were too busy laughing from how hilarious the entire situation was.

The only thing Annie had to say was that Ollie had this coming. Maddie truly did ask what was in the bright, flowy things and he had not answered her.

She was even surprised that Maddie was simply rubbing the powder all over him. Knowing her, she would have done much worse.

"Do you think I'm dumb, I asked you blondie, I asked you and you didn't tell me!" Maddie ranted. She frowned, she wondered why Ollie was not fighting back. He allowed her subdue him and instead of throwing her off he was laughing and giggling like a little girl at her first slumber party!

"Why are you laughing?!" She exclaimed. She was annoyed, he was giggling instead of telling her to stop, it took away the sweet taste of revenge.

"I'm laughing because... the look on your face when the powder was thrown all over you was priceless," He laughed. There was nothing he could do. Maddie already caught him and she had succeeded in making him as blue as she was.

"You do not make this fun at all!" Maddie groaned. She rubbed her hands on his face roughly before scoffing and getting off him.

"You are so annoying," She frowned.

Ollie laughed and sat up straight. He looked at himself, his clothes, his face, his skin, they were all blue. He did not mind one bit.

"You know what, I think blue is my colour, it really suits me, as it does you," He commented chuckling. Maddie shot him a dirty glare telling him to shut up.

"I'm not joking, you really do look good in blue," He said.

"No I don't, I look like a smurf!" Maddie shouted.

Annie and Matt laughed, she was not exaggerating she did look like a smurf. Especially with her blonde hair, so did Ollie. They both looked like a pair of twin smurfs.

"What's a smurf?" Ollie asked confused.

"Oh my gosh, of course you don't know what a smurf is," Maddie groaned.

"It's not a big deal Maddie. Dude, smurfs are just these little, tiny, blue creatures that sing happy songs and are happy all the time. It's a cartoon or was it a comic? I'm not sure," Matt explained.

"I'm pretty sure that they were a comic first and then they became a cartoon," Annie chipped in.

"Yes, they were a Belgian comic or something like that. Anyway, their Papa wears red and the children wear white," Maddie said.

"So, how many children does the Papa have?" Ollie asked.

"Oh, he had one hundred children, ninety-nine sons and one daughter, and oh all the smurfs are names after the first thing they did when they were born, all except for Smurfette," Annie said.

"Wait, how does he have one hundred children?!" Ollie exclaimed. "And where's the Mama Smurf?".

Matt laughed, the look of utter surprise and confusion on his face was priceless. It was not Ollie's fault that he did not know about the smurfs. After all, it was a human cartoon.

Actually, it was very refreshing to have to explain things to Ollie. Usually, he was always the one explaining things to them since he knew more about his realm.

"Listen blondie, they are not actually his children, the smurfs are brought to the village by storks or something. Anyway, I take it back, I don't look like a smurf. I'm not wearing red or white," Maddie concluded.

"I need to see a picture of these smurfs," Ollie said looking confused.

"I'll show you one when I have my phone with me," Maddie said.

"Thank you," Ollie smiled.

"But you said you have some human literature in your library, how come you don't have a smurf comic?" Maddie frowned.

"Well, I don't really have a lot of comics, only a few, and I certainly have never heard of these smurfs until now," Ollie replied.

"Hmm, how surprising, I thought you knew everything." Maddie mocked.

"No, I never said I know everything. No one knows everything, you learn each day.".

Maddie felt like wiping that smile off Ollie's face. She hated it whenever he smiled at her like that.

"You know what, finally you admit you don't know everything blondie, unlike I do," Maddie said.

Ollie nearly rolled his eyes. He simply ignored her words.

"Just admit not knowing everything is fine, after only some of us have the gift of truly knowing it all," She declared proudly.

Annie laughed and shook her head., it was typical of Maddie to say such. She was not going to refute Maddie simply because she was sure she was still angry from powder thing.

"Anyway, back to why I am upset, you all connived against me not to jump before I did!" She pointed the accusing finger at all of them.

"Hey, I am innocent regarding that. We never connived against you, we did not agree not to jump. I just did not jump the time you did," Annie shrugged.

"Same," Matt said.

"I won't lie, honestly, I wanted you to get caught off guard," Ollie laughed and Maddie glared at him.

"I have to agree with Ollie on that. It was a little nice to see you get caught off guard... I will admit," Annie said.

"You, come over here!" Maddie said. She pulled Annie towards her with a spell and transferred the remaining blue powder on her onto Annie.

"I expected you to do that," Annie laughed.

"Mhmm, keep on expecting," Maddie scoffed.

"Now, because of your shenanigans, the game stopped and the birdie is still counting," Maddie frowned.

"No, not at all, I stopped the timer, once we're ready to resume playing, the timer will start from where it stopped," Ollie smiled.

Maddie scoffed at him. She was still annoyed, she could not believe that she had allowed them all make a fool out of her.

"I am going to win this game because I am going to prove to you bunch of annoying people that Maddie Wolf cannot be taken as a fool. No, not now not ever!" Maddie exclaimed.

She was raging within her. Rubbing the powder all over Ollie did not settle it at all. She was so angry that she did not mind she had to touch the blondie and even jump on him. She would have smacked his head and fought him had she not been trying to be nicer to him.

"We'll see about that Maddie, we'll see about that," Matt laughed.

"No more cross-teaming, no more giving each other looks with your eyes, you must be fair!" Maddie insisted. She would not allow them make her a joke again.

"We never cross-team Maddie," Ollie said as she turned to him and scoffed.

"Mhmm, of course, I'm sure apart from your announce and thinking you know everything blondie, you also have bad memory because when we went on that picnic, you all ganged up against me so you could win," Maddie reminded.

"That's only because you were being annoying as always," Annie said.

"Well if being me is being annoying then it means in all of your twisted minds, I am being annoying right now, which means you want to gang up against me, which I will not allow," Maddie bounced up and down.

"Of course not, we are not like you, you always seem for revenge, which is something you're doing right now," Annie pointed out.

"I have to agree with that," Ollie nodded.

"Hey, that's because revenge is sweet and you all know that it is," Maddie said. She bounced to where Ollie was standing and she pushed him off balance.

"I can tell you're still upset with me," He chuckled.

"Wow Sherlock, what a revelation," She scoffed. "Anyway, let's start the game again!" Maddie insisted.

"Alright, if you insist," Ollie stood to his feet. "On the count of three, we begin.".

"One... two... three.". As soon as Ollie said the word three, they all set off and jumped.

The yellow birdie began to count down once more.

The four of them jumped, touching the conveniently placed bright, flowy things on the celling causing an eruption of different colours.

"Goodness!" Annie exclaimed as she dropped on the bouncy ground covered in a pink powder.

"Yep, as messy as I expected," Matt laughed while Ollie giggled and Maddie wasted no time as she continued jumping to hit the others.

"The powder is cold," Annie shivered as she jumped up, she had not expected it to be cold.

"Welcome to the club, now you know how it feels," Maddie scoffed. She hit the third bright, flowy thing in her path and jumped to the fourth.
