As soon as we get back I get in the shower and wipe the blood off. It's been a weird couple of weeks. When dad got sick I was a little nervous but knew he'd probably get over it even with his issues. Then he stopped being able to take care of the garden. I knew something was wrong my father had never once stopped taking care of that garden, it was as much his child as me. Then I was in the woods near our house when I got attacked by what I thought was a wolf. I was saved thanks to Bolshoi who went hunting when I woke up turns out it was a lycan. At first I didn't know what a lycan was. Turns out there are creatures of the night. Though most of them tend to stick to themselves. Even vampires stay away from humans if they can help it. I learned a lot from Bolshoi he is a lycan as well and was kind enough to stick around to help me through this. Jeez I always get contemplative when I shower. I finished up and headed back downstairs. Bolshoi was holding a box with runes. "you ready kiddie we better get going" he said placing the box in his duffel bag. I rolled my eyes he was always saying things to intentionally rile me up. It was part of my training to keep my emotions in check. "we're not leaving for good right?" I asked. "we'll see" he sighed. I grabbed my bag from the other room and we locked up the house before setting out for the forest. "Now do you want to move to a different town or do you want to live in the forest? Both are great in their own way in terms of your training but it's up to you" he asked. "hmm I think the forest it sounds more fun" I said. "don't forget what can be out here. the forest is definitely the more dangerous option" he said with a grim expression. "well let's head in" he said leading the way. I was about to transform when he shouted "no doing it now until I'm certain we don't have any eyes on us" he said not even turning around. How does he do that. We started heading deeper into the forest. It was very relaxing and I just enjoyed the trip. We finally arrived at a small shack. "head inside I will make sure we weren't followed" He said. Before I could say anything he ran off in a weird direction. I decided to check out the shack. It wasn't very big but I knew this was not built by a human. it didn't have a few things that are very important to humans but annoying to lycans. there were only two beds though they weren't human beds but more like nests. There was a kitchen but it didn't have any appliances. It was quite nice actually, it felt right. I sat down on the couch and waited for Bolshoi to come back
