On her way to the company, Catherine Ford sent a message to Grace Clarke asking her to wait at the company gate for her.
After waiting half the day without a reply, Catherine arrived at the company gate but did not see Grace Clarke. She had no choice but to dial Grace's number. The call connected, yet no one spoke.
Uncertain of the situation, Catherine called out "Clarke" a few times. Just when she thought there was some issue with the phone, Grace Clarke finally spoke up, "What's up?"
Taken aback by the indifferent tone on the other end of the line, Catherine felt a bit embarrassed, but remembering that Grace might still be anxious about yesterday's incident, she pressed down her discomfort, intending to share with Grace the findings and suggestions she had come up with last night, and have Grace pass these solutions to Carol to make up for any lapses.
Before she could finish, Grace Clarke, sounding as if she was in a hurry, said, "I have other things to do, I can't talk."
