"He's the one." Rami whispered out of nowhere.
Rami is watching his first target now using his binocular that his Eldest brother provided.
He compares the person that he is targeting and the file that he is holding. To check it one last time. Of course he doesn't want to harm an unrelated person.
He is currently on the rooftop of one of the famous hotels here in New York.
After he was sure he didn't mistake the target, he put the binocular into his backpack. Then he assembled his sniper rifle as quickly as he could. Because well, he's in a hurry right now because he's so hungry.
Yeah, because of food again. He admits! He's really a foodie.
He gripped the rifle tightly. He aimed his rifle at the person who was his first target.
Name: Edgar John Wails
Age: 35 years old
Homeland: Dubai
Currently residing: New York City (USA)
Background: Wanted murderer
'Too bad Edgar, you're the first one that I saw on the folder that my third brother gave me. You're going to pay for killing hundreds of innocent people whom you just murdered for money.Rejoice!!'
He takes one last look at his target who is happily eating his meal. Without further ado, he fired his rifle and, as expected, the bullet penetrated Edgar's front temple. Now, he is lying on the floor— LIFELESS!!
Rami smirks.
He whistles amusely.
"Good shot, Rami!" Rami praised himself.
He raised his rifle and started to disassemble it to put it in its briefcase. Once he placed it in the case, he picked it up and walked out to the rooftop.
After a while, he glances at the list that he is holding.
Next target.
Name: Denely Pabay
Age: 16
Homeland: Japan
Currently living: Tokyo
Background: Hired killer and a high-class prostitute.
Hmmmm!! Interesting. Sixteen years old huh. So young, but look at her profile, Rami signed with disappointment. Oh well!! He's not one to judge because he too---started doing this stuff when he was still ten. But there is a very big difference between them. He does this for justice while this girl, she's just doing it for money.
'Girl, you need to disappear from this world for I am coming to take your life. No hard feelings. Work calls. Wait for me there in Tokyo, Japan.'
Dark Reaper's Private Sanctuary . . . . .
It's been two weeks.
It's been two weeks since Rami left their mansion without saying goodbye.
Avery was in the garden at the front of their mansion. She sat at a table set designed for relaxation. Anyone who spent time there could easily appreciate the beauty of the garden.
But---- Avery is not in the mood right now to appreciate the stunning view. She just sits there and stares in front with blankness and without any particular aim.
Avery should be angry about Rami because of what happened.
Every detail, facts shown it to them to the point that they feel hurt, especially her and Ryuzaki as they're the one who is very close to Rami when he's still residing at their mansion.
When they learned that something had happened between him and Dark that night, both of them realized they had been used by Rami.
They did not try to protect him. When they all faced each other in the living room, they told the truth. Avery bravely admitted that she had found a syringe in her pocket, meaning someone put it there without her noticing. While Ryuzaki revealed that it was Rami who had taken the initiative to invite them that night.
When the results came back from the syringe that Avery provided, they discovered that it contained a type of an aphrodisiac.
Ryuzaki paled in front of them which surprised them. Unhesitantly, he confessed that he was the one who had given the glass of wine that should contain that aphrodisiac to Dark.
Amethyst was furious when she learned the truth. She kept calling Rami a traitor, saying that they should never have trusted him because he had hidden intentions toward them.
However, for Avery, she couldn't understand why Rami did that. She already knew that Rami had feelings for Dark, as she had seen and observed how he behaved toward him since she began to grow close to Rami.
Given enough time, even if Dark could never return Rami's feelings, there was no need for Rami to resort to using them. Truthfully, if Rami had asked for her help, she would have agreed—even if it was wrong or involved their boss. She didn't know about Ryuzaki, but to her, Rami was her friend, and she had already accepted that.
For two weeks, they received no information about him. Why was that? Did something happen to him? She hadn't even seen a trace of him at school. He never appeared—not once. There were no texts, no calls. Nothing at all. Absolutely nothing.
They only learned that Rami had dropped out of school on the morning of the third day after he disappeared. The reason remained unknown, as his records were private, and even with their background, they had no right to access them.
Avery felt someone tap his shoulder.
She turned her head to look at who did that.
She found out that it was Luca.
"Oh. . . Luca. What's up? " Avery asked softly without any energy.
Luca sat beside Avery. Upon sitting comfortably, he pulled her within his embrace which Avery complied. She even made herself comfortable within Luca's grasp.
"Are you okay baby?" Luca softly questioned instead of answering Avery.
"Hmmm. . . ." Avery hummed.
Luca didn't look reassured.
"It's about Rami, right?" Luca asked with a sigh.
Avery didn't answer. She just shifted her gaze away from Luca to the garden and looked at nothing.
"It's been two weeks, hasn't it? "Luca asked again gently.
"Yes." This time, Avery responds.
"Don't worry, I'm sure he's fine." Luca assured Avery while he tightened his grip around Avery's body while he rested his chin into her left shoulder.
"I don't know. I'm not sure" Avery is not really sure if Rami is really okay.
The only thing she knows is that Rami is feeling very guilty and hurt right now.
Truthfully, she wasn't angry with Rami. She didn't want to be angry at him without hearing his explanation. She was certain he had his reasons, and she wanted to understand them.
"Naah, don't be so negative, okay? Try to think positively. Rami should be fine, and I'm sure he's not in any danger. So you can rest assured, even if there's still no news about him." Luca persuades Avery.
Avery knew that Luca understood her better than anyone. He already knew all her thoughts. If he didn't, he would have objected to her stance today.
"I hope so baby." Avery answered Luca gently.
Luca smiled then he gently maneuvered Avery for her to look at him.
"Don't worry sweetie. The fact that we got no news about him, it's good news. You know that. So be positive. I'm sure we will have news about him soon." Luca kisses Avery's forehead while Avery gently closes her two eyes because of the kiss.
