Chapter 115 - Push And Pull [Author's Tidbit ~ Part Five]

Hello again,

How are you? How have you been? What have you been up to? It's easy to say, 'ok.' Or, 'I'm doing fine'. But when you sit down, when you're able to think, when you're able to breathe, and the world around you is finally separated by the walls of your house...would you still say it?

Sometimes, the simplest things can make or break your day. The people you have to deal with. The workload that's taxing on your body. The doctor's appointments that have the results you've been waiting for. And then when it's finally done, all you crave to do is watch television while enjoying the comfort food you either made or purchased. Not because you have to eat, but because of the happiness it brings you. You don't feel ashamed for having it. Nor do you feel bad for relaxing after a tiresome day. Regardless if you have earned it or not, it's needed. Sorely needed. And, that's what we can always have.

Because He's right here. Right here, right now.

For He is more than just our Creator. God is our Healer, our Provider, our Comfort. Our Father. His loving arms are wide open for every bit of His creation. No matter the temptations, the struggles, the mistakes, He is still there. Waiting for us to turn to Him. To repent and want to not only progress righteously, but to be at peace with Him. Be at peace because of Him.

Life on earth is one big, ongoing trial that never ceases to test us in many different ways. It's easy to forget that there is hope, and love, and purpose when we are surrounded by everything that is against it. The push, the pull, the coercison, the influence. One can spiral just by not living up to others' expectations of them. As if they're not enough. As if their effort does not matter. And without a strong foundation, they crumble. They're destroyed. They're done.

How are you? How have you been? What have you been up to? It's easy to say, 'ok.' Or, 'I'm doing fine'. But when you sit down, when you're able to think, when you're able to breathe, and the world around you is finally separated by the walls of your house...do you confess the truth? Do you turn to Him? Do you trust in Him? Will you surrender to Him?

There is a push and pull, but He will make sure you stand strong in spite of it.
