A very intense atmosphere lays out in the hallway. Hearts are heavy, so heavy that a leaf could cause a chain reaction. The air was thick and it had an unbearable weight that pressed down like suffocating weight. The group of young men are ignoring the new spectator. Terumi and the other young men's focus now was the group ahead of them.
Fists are clenched, throats are dry. Sweat rolls down the faces of the young girls. Suddenly, the silence is broken.
Hinata speaks up, "Let him go Terumi, I'm truly tired of your constant bullying." Terumi then turns dramatically slowly to face Hinata, with the biggest grin of joy. It came off sick and twisted, just as anticipated.
"l Well? Hmm.." Terumi pauses to think. "It's sad to say, but your pal here," Terumi points to Damon, "is doing business with the Serpents and honestly, I wish it wasn't like this, but I'm gonna need you to stay out of my way or I will handle all of you the same way." He spoke with some words of sincerity, he truly wished it hadn't come to this, but his hands were tied and he had to be the person he is. He had no choice, and the group continued to stand in his way.
"Don't you just really wanna loosen up sometimes? This one here, is my favorite sand bag. The rest of you are just objects in my way. So beat it, or you won't like the outcome." Terumi was aggravated, he sounded full of himself as he got his point across.
A girl looks him in the eye and says, "You can't do that just because you feel like it, how would you like it if someone did it to you Terumi." Terumi raised his upper lip in disgust. She was brave considering her size. A little too brave.
The green haired boy closed the distance between himself and the small girl. He clearly towers her in size. He set his gaze on her.
"Ohh what will you do to me, Rena? Huh? You're going to beat me up?" he mocks her speaking in a high-pitched girlie voice, "Play with my hair, do my makeup? Take me to prom. Did you think I'm just one of your little friends, huh? Huh!?".
Terumi then grabs Rena by the head and lifts her off the ground with one hand.
"Let me go!" While Flailing around she screams.
Terumi just throws her to the ground like garbage.
Hinata runs over,
"Rena, are you alright? " she asked, voicing her concern.
"You truly are a disease, Terumi." Both girls are tearing up, afraid and disgusted in his behavior. The pathological torment that he inflicted upon everyone. They felt so helpless and terrible. He was a tyrant and it wasn't anything they could do.
"Is this an everyday thing around here? I thought prep schools were nice and happy. Your brochure was wrong." Alex cracked a smile amusing himself as he interjected and slightly broke the heaviness in the air.
Alex was astonished by this event. He chuckled at the fact. That this seemed like it was just two rivals that are clashing yet again. This doesn't look gang related in his eyes, but it did feel like something was off about this situation. He would seem to be but an outsider. Terumi ignores Alex's remark, he walks towards the girls with much arrogance. He knew he was untouchable.
"I'll give you something to really cry over"
Terumi spoke with much disdain in his voice. It was sad to hear by the group, they were all actually terrified of him.
Miki stood in front of Hinata, and Rena. He wasn't backing down from Terumi.
"That's far enough," Miki's voice was firm and bright. Miki had no choice but to stand his ground. Terumi was backed by a notorious gang, the whole school including teachers feared him. He had to at least try. When suddenly something hit him in the face. It was so fast that he had no time to react. Miki goes down covering his eyes. Terumi had poked him in his eyes for looking away from him. "Gahhh!!" He yelped and rolled over in pain. Terumi looked at Miki and was disappointed. He was clearly just acting tough for the girls.
"I'm getting real sick of this game. We keep playing breakfast club. So I'll end it now," Terumi walks towards the girls.
His body language spoke for him, he was pissed. A small sweet feint voice was just able to escape. It rang in the back of Alex's head. He looked around but there wasn't anyone there. No one noticed, but one person.. him
Terumi brings back his hand then brings his open hand towards Hinata's face.
Alex unexpectedly grabs Terumi's wrist.
"I don't know who, I don't know what, but I heard it. It was the voice of an angel. So this is done now," Alex said in a very commanding voice.
Terumi tries to pull back his hand but is stuck in place. It was as if he was stuck in cement. No matter how much he budged "What the hell are you doing!?"
"Honestly at this point, I don't even know what the hell I'm doing. All I can say is I heard a voice in the back of my head saying help them."
The red head boy and girls quickly run over to Damon's side.
"Are you okay?" Asked Hinata, concerned.
"They keep doing this, why won't you say anything to a adult?" She questioned.
"Yeah like that's going to do anything!" Damon snaps with anger.
"I'm.. fine ok…" his voice becomes softer as he gets up. Damon looked a mess. He had blood all over him. It was even in his hair. It's a shame that he looked like an abandoned dog off the streets.
"Look it's my problem, I don't want you involved Hina. But thank you for helping me" He smiles at Hinata faintly.
*The ringing of the school bell*
All tensions between the groups die as students fill the halls. Alex releases Terumi's hand.
"I'll get you next time."Terumi remarked, staring at his own hand moving his fingers as he is regaining circulation.
"Fine by me, gecko," Said Alex confidently. "Bring it anytime, you see that kid over there?" Pointing towards Damon.
"He's mine, all mine; so no touchy. So don't lay a finger on him. Not even a glance you got that?" Alex realized how weird that sounded soon after it escaped his lips.
"waaaa oh my god!!" Hinata exclaimed and covered her mouth.
"Ooo the drama!" said Rena
"That's Bold! Is he your boyfriend already?" Miki said as the group remarks almost all at once.
Terumi: "W-what? what the hell do you mean?" his face showed he was flustered and thrown off his guard, he cleared his throat trying to ease back into character.
Damon was blushing a bright red.
"W-who said I was yours d-dumbass. I mean, sure...maybe.." Damon tried to explain feeling as if he had no other choice being put on the spot like that.
Alex stopped to reflect on what was said, "shit," he started but had no room to say anything further.
"Ohh wait," when suddenly another student yells in the hallway,
"the new kid asked out Damon. "
Everyone in the hallway now had eyes on the both of them. Animosity between the both boys grew. Everybody who was somebody looked at them.
Damon who wasn't against the idea of Alex. That would mean protection against Terumi. Then again he was kinda a jerk. That first meeting was a waste of his potential. It just made things really complicated and unclear. Damon could use him. Maybe that strength he displayed could beat Terumi. Damon had no time to think about something like this, but his thoughts still ran aimlessly.
"You idiot now you have eyes on both of us. As if the blood wasn't rushing to my head enough", "Damon shook his head while he turned red in embarrassment.
Damon groaned at what just transpired. As if he wasn't the bullied kid. While everyone was staying away from him. Now he's the kid that was confessed to by a new student on the first day, "ugh!"
Alex looked at Damon, who kept hiding his face. "This was supposed to be a fresh start... I, um.."
Emotions are running high. As everyone in the hallway was talking about Damon and Alex. Terumi and his group walk away. "Ah new kid. I'll remember that. Watch your back'' as the group of young men quickly turned the corner. The group sighs in relief as Terumi and his goons leave the scene.
They disappeared into the crowd of students. Hinata tries to tell everyone that's not what you heard, as entertaining the idea of it all is. As she and her friends are panicky and trying to dissolve the situation of their friend, laying on the cold ground who seemed to have taken the most damage. Hinata tells Alex don't worry about class. I'll handle it. Take Damon to the nurse's office, he didn't wanna be drawn into all this, on his first day after all, but he agrees.
