Tessa snorted at her, "Your cousin is someone who everybody loves, both flowers bloom at the sight of me, I'm cute and virtuous, can handle both the living room and the kitchen, and I naturally bring good fortune to my husband. How could he not have struck gold?"
The waiter approached, beginning to serve the dishes, and everyone paused their conversation.
While dining, Nora suddenly remembered something and asked Faye, "When are you planning to hold the wedding?"
Tessa and Faye had been registered as married for a while now.
Faye had never discussed holding a wedding with Tessa, and Tessa had given it no thought either.
Firstly, because when they got married, it was a contract marriage.
Secondly, agreeing to become a real couple was only a recent development.
Thirdly, Tessa felt that whether they had the ceremony or not wasn't that important to their married life.
She thought Faye likely shared her view on this.
So she answered ahead of Faye, "We're not hosting a wedding."
