Opening his eyes, a dirty ceiling appeared in view, with a heavy yet warm quilt pressing down on his body.
Unable to sense the presence of redemption at his waist, Lu Li glanced around and saw redemption and the lighthouse placed on the bedside cabinet, along with a woman with a long scar on her cheek in the bedroom.
Seeing Lu Li awake, she silently turned and left the room. Moments later, an elderly woman appeared at the door.
"Little Elena said you woke up." With ashes still on her hands, she wiped them on her apron as she spoke, "You may call me Aunt Susan."
"Where is this?"
The single bed creaked as Lu Li propped himself up to sit.
"Helen Town. Little Elena and the others found you by the lake and brought you back…" Aunt Susan replied with a smile.
A map emerged in Lu Li's mind. Helen Town was on the east side of Mirror Lake, he had indeed reached the shore.
"Is it just me?"
