Maxim Ford then remembered that last night he called but Tiana snatched the phone from him, he asked, "Did you call last night because you wanted to come back to the old house to see Mom?"

Speaking shortly, Maxim Ford had already stepped into the room. He observed his mother's mood, seeing her relaxed on the sofa, apparently much more at ease.
