"Brother!"
She called out to him again.
Maxim Ford curved his lips into a smile, revealing shallow dimples, then lightly patted her back: "Tiana, why are you suddenly feeling so melancholic today?"
Her voice was a bit mumbled, playfully grumbling: "Not at all."
Even so, he wasn't reassured and looked down at her: "Be honest with me, did something happen that you couldn't handle, leading to a bad mood?"
She shook her head.
Really, nothing...
Just a sense of regained emotions spreading through her heart. She used to be a little fox spirit who would be moved by things but wasn't as clear about them, and now as a mere human, she was easily touched.
She couldn't tell her brother the real reason, nor could she deceive him.
Because brother was attentive, he could sense her emotions, and he would surely worry.
She pursed her lips lightly, smiling: "Actually, I'm just a little worried, afraid that mom and dad won't like me."
Honestly, she wasn't worried about this at all.
