After Sabrina gives two of them the makeover, they decided to stay in Trance's room for a while since the others are not preparing. Trance is now done putting on the gun pocket on her left thigh after she assembled it. She's now busy cleaning up her katana, but she suddenly stops when she remembers something.
"Come on, Kai. Think of it." Trance said to her friend, who was busy looking at himself in the mirror. Kai put down the mirror, then averted his gaze to Trance. "Think of what?"
"Why does Sabrina know something about those Queens?" Trance curiously asked him. Kai motioned for her to be silent for a while before he locked the door. The man dragged Trance to the other side of the room.
"I don't know how I can't say this, but." He scratched his neck awkwardly. "There's a thing that we didn't say to you." Trance raised a brow at him.
"I understand, I guess? What is it by the way?"
"We have someone behind our backs. She knows everything about every mafia in the Underground society. She's like a lord of crime." Kai explained before he leaned against the wall behind him, then tucked some of his wig's strands behind his ear. He's beautiful as a girl in front of him right now.
"Lord of crime? Like Moriarty?" Kai nods in his reply.
"But you said 'she'. So that one you're talking about is a girl?"
"Yep."
"So one of you caught her, or she surrendered herself?" Kai shook his head and smiled. "Andy didn't surrender herself. That one hasn't let us see her face, that's why she's wearing a mask. She's also the trusted right hand of Silver Phoenix." His statement made Trance raise her hand to motion him to stop speaking.
"Hold up. What do you mean by Silver Phoenix?" She asked in full curiosity.
"What? Have you heard that before?" Kai asked back.
"Yes. I heard it from Grandpa." Trance replied. The brunette is about to speak, but he chooses to close his mouth and stare at her. Trance herself is getting more confused, but curious at the same time. Trance can recall clearly what her grandfather said that night when she was about to drink water in the kitchen, but stopped on the top of the stairs after hearing that her grandfather was talking to someone.
'How's your life going, Silver Phoenix?'
'I know you're manipulating them behind the shadows.'
'I can't just let Izanami get involved with that.'
'I can't believe you, Silver.'
"Trance?" The female flinched before she looked at Kai and gave him a lopsided smile.
"Is Silver Phoenix dangerous?" She asked. Kai eyed her for a moment, then tapped her shoulder. "Yes. Silver is the one behind the downfall of every country's economy. Silver can kill if he wants. Silver Phoenix and Dark Dragon can slaughter a horde of people within a minute. Andy is their assistant. She brings danger, too." Kaizer explained. By that, Trance went speechless after hearing that.
'No! I'm probably imagining things. Yeah, maybe I am.' Trance calmed herself, then looked up at Kai, who was looking at her full of worry.
"Andy is now serving Taiyou. The current leader of the Japanese Mafia. They're part of the Triumvirate of Underground Society. Taiyou is a bigger deal to handle; that's why we couldn't go straight to the root. Andy told us about that casino. She said that the Queen of Spades and Queen of Hearts are secretly making their moves."
"Anubis told those mafias under them that they should not meddle with this matter aside from him. Spades, Clubs, Hearts, and Diamonds are under the Japanese mafia, but Spades and Hearts are disobeying him. I guess that's also the reason why my aunt told us to eliminate them." Kai added.
Those guys are a serious matter, and Trance knows that. She expected that at the time when she accepted Excalibur's offer, they would face this kind of situation. They're dealing with the devils. Not those typical devils or evils from the religious beliefs, but humans without any humanity. Trance and the others killed people, too. She's already familiarized with that, and she already considers herself by that even the time that she's not part of Excalibur. Trance stared at him in awe before pulling out a question again.
"You mean by 'this matter' the game of Taiyou, right? He is the mastermind of the game master behind that game, Haru told me about the game you're saying once." Trance responded while trying to solve everything on her mind, even though she's not a fan of riddles.
"Haru knows what?" She nodded. "Yeah, my little brother knows that, and here I am late to realize how heavy the situation is. Goodness, I'm dumb," Trance rubbed her face in disappointment before looking at Kai with wide eyes, then held both of his shoulders, then shook him. She remembered something again.
"Felix! He knows this shit too!" She shakes his best friend, who started to get dizzy because of the harsh shaking.
"He did! But it's you probably thinking that it's a prank." Kai checked himself in the mirror again to see if his makeup was ruined. He doesn't want to knock on Sabrina's door just to interrupt her from putting makeup on Ashley and the others. Kai heaves a sigh of relief after seeing his makeup untouched and remaining the same.
"So why does Sabrina know that?" Trance can't control her curiosity sometimes, and she started to regret that. She wanted to smack herself using a pan because of unstoppable curiosity. Trance bit the inside of her cheek, then darted her gaze away from Kai's.
"She's the one who can only talk to Andy." Kai shrugged off.
"Sabrina is indeed full of mystery." Trance commented. Kai did steal a glance from her, then stare at himself again. He wanted to laugh at himself because he looked like a female. Not only his face, but his body also.
"But you're more mysterious than her, Trance," Kai answered with a smile. He's not messing up with Trance. He's stating the truth. She looked at him with a brow raised.
"I can't blame you; everyone has their mystery. We shouldn't stick our noses up at them. That's what you called to mind, your own business. Let them solve their mystery so they can grow and know more about themselves." He added.
Three knocks on the door called their attention, and Trance immediately opened the door. It was Ashley with Medusa, wrapping herself in her owner's hand.
"Captain Ashley," Trance called the woman in front of her, full of formalities, and saluted her.
"Kaizer and Tance, are you busy?" Trance and Kai both shook their heads. "No, Captain," They both said in unison.
"Good thing, can I get in?" She asked, flashing a gentle smile. "Sure," Trance opened the door wider so their Captain could get in. Ashley closed the door behind her and cleared her throat.
"I'm here to tell both of you about another part of the plans a, b, and c." She announced then pulled the swivel chair from Trance's study table.
Ashley started to discuss everything with both of them. Trance and Kai are both excited yet apprehensive at the same time while Ashley begins giving them a recap on their plan.
"Like what I've said too, both of you will take down Queen of Spades and Hearts. We have three options on that. The first option, both of you will use Yang Jun Won to bail out the Queens. Second, challenge them to a gamble. Third, use Heimdall and disguise as their men, then eliminate them." Medusa crawled down from her hand to Trance and Kai's direction. The two exchanged looks before turning to their Captain with a mischievous smile.
"If you don't mind, Captain. Why do we need to make an option if we can do all those things?" Trance asked her. Ashley smiled and crossed her legs.
"Because I know that you're going to say that."
