Waking up alone I look around and find a note
"Gotta test a crazy idea 'MAKE COFFEE' :*. "
???
Not sure what to make of that I get a bottle of water and tinker with my sacrificial coffee making, half an hour later it seems to be working great with water, next I try making coffee...pretty good and the machine is working fine not creepy noises nor leaking...what the hell, I get I'm getting better at crafting thanks to leveling in night city but I only get a hair of that here what the hell? Flipping through the app I find it, Ashley leveled up repairing 10 different repair coffee maker skills to get me
Repair Coffee Maker: Reduce chance of extreme failure and increase experience gained by 0.1% per level.
This can't be it, more scrolling I found she leveled up reading several basic skills books till she got me Reading basic skill books, so I understand instructions abit better. Also brewing coffee pouring water and of course drinking both. All these actions were so slow when I tried them in game, how did she do this?
On my way to work I find a couple roadside construction dump site, with rebar and an empty steel barrel. Making a mental note I head to my jobs and retrieve them later. Once back home I pile up the rebar and cut apart the barrel into rectangular sheets which I then roll onto a bat then nail in place, remove and repeat. Around 11 I head to Ashley's room.
Waking up in night city I decide to take Ashley's advice. So I buy and print coffee makers and paper coffee cups then give away an obscene amount of coffee. After that I tear apart the coffee makers and rebuild them, then tear them down upgrade almost every component reassemble them brew coffee, consider what I did wrong, have the design tool help upgrade the entire machine brew more coffee, better this time, brew lots more coffee again give it away. Go out on a caffeine fueled rampage to rip apart cars and sell the components I get for scrapping them buy all the gold I can. Give Judy a coffee maker, get chased out by security. Pour fresh hot coffee over roaches. Parkour around some low rooftops and go to bed after chugging 6 bottles of distilled water and a burrito.
Waking up wired from caffeine with her on my chest....shit. She deserves the sleep, so I lay there unmoving and close my eyes for the next hour I focus on everything around me, attempting to keep it all in mind at once. Her breath both her movement and the air she expels lightly touching me, her heartbeat, her warmth, her subtle movements as she sleeps, the ceiling fans breeze and various noises it creates, her sheets, her annoyingly large pillows, feeling the sunlight slowly filling the room more and more.
Ashley starts to stir, half stretches....and rolls over on top of my putting her back to me but still leaning into my warmth...ugh!!! After holding her a minute longer I extract myself and check my phone.
Pouring Coffee: When pouring coffee it loses 0.1% less heat and you pour with 0.1% more agility per level
Giving away Coffee: When giving away Coffee people perceive your cool and physique as 0.1% more per level
...pretty sure a cup of coffee without my stupid system does more that that already...
Shortsword Smashing Windows: Short swords become more effective against windows with 0.1% more physique and agility per level
That's not following the pattern...
Brewing Coffee: You brew with 0.1% more technical ability and electronics skill per level
Huh, feels less like it'll improve my coffee making and more like it'll boost my ability to learn as I brew it... Still very nice
Melee Shortsword: Increase blades skill and XP gained by 0.1% per level.
It's...something?
After making breakfast for us both, Ashley groans something I assume is meant to be thanks, eats abit and rolls up in her blankets again.
Next it's time to go through the usual daily grind, I take apart and reassemble the coffee maker before brewing another pot, don't think it's better but it felt faster, easier this time. Read up on the care and maintenance instruction for the pot, then go through my daily work out before running to my farming gig, then running to work. Afterwards it's time to run back and grind with Ashley and I as babies in Sims 4, using alt save files to grind up our skills in advance is so much better than wearing diapers IRL, still added crawling to my daily workout, it might come in handy. Before the toddlers grow up I exit delete the save file and grind crafting every cheap consumable in cyberpunk, save scumming I get crafting and scrapping them up to level 11 for the common ones as I can make 250k of them in one go with all the components I've saved up. Then in fallout 76 I decide to craft frag grenades until I get a skill with them, further reducing the crafting costs a uselessly small amount then head to bed, with Ashley still grinding Lionheart for us.
Waking up in Night City. First thing I check my level and spend points until Technical Ability is 18, then Get the perk for legendary crafting. Search for a buy a 1191 schematic and print a thousand, upgrade, then scrap all but 2. Eat my dedicated breakfast with much better coffee, then go seek out roaches. Kill a thousand with melee, then standard shooting, then akimbo with the colts. Six skills it's a solid start, next it's time to read through every guide to unity's. Couple hours later I review my custom schematic tweak it abit, print try out the new version and use it every way I can. The improvements are negligible it mostly 'feels' better but the system shows no improvement in stats. Hmm I search for every upgraded variant publicly available, buy the schematics, craft, upgrade, scrap, then use. Definitely catch onto some key differences. Then eat and go to bed.
Wake up with Ashley...very connected, I relax with her on me and fall back asleep, an hour later we wake up and get in some morning exercise before getting back to our duties near noon. No times for games I run to my farm gig. Then work then home, rush through a late work out and squash some ants with my short sword to see if it feels different...it doesn't. Grind some more in fallout 76 then drag Ashley to bed before she tries another all nighter.
Waking up in night city I consider Ashley's, crazy suggestion about coffee, it was a fun distraction that I needed for the day and gave me insight into a new skill I could grind for that I don't really want but could I really get more from coffee? A group skill in this isekai would only increase what my coffee skills already give to a negligible degree... Hmm. After a bit I decide I'll just brew and sip coffee all day as I work, after the normal breakfast I resume sharpening shortswords with a clearer head, it's dull but easy work. If only there were animals in night city I could get various hunting skills, cleaning, skinning butchering deboning....oh God no.... Shit that'll work.
