Stepping out the door into the dusk, Harry and Cathy saw that it was indeed as Richard had said—someone was waiting.
It was a tall, thin old man wearing a black robe, with a face full of wrinkles, appearing stern and unsmiling. He glanced at Harry and Cathy, said nothing, and simply waved for them to come closer.
Then the tall, thin old man turned, leading the two away from the Lord Mansion, heading outside.
By this time, it was already night, and outside the Lord Mansion, a prepared carriage was waiting.
The tall, thin old man led Harry and Cathy into the carriage. Under the coachman's control, the carriage wound through the streets of Atlantis, taking turns and heading further away.
Cathy was full of curiosity, wondering where they were going. However, seeing the look on the old man in the black robe, she knew it would be difficult to get an answer from him. She cast an inquisitive glance at her brother—Harry.
