Richard silently counted in his heart while killing one control hub ant of the command ants after another.
He noticed that most of the control hub ants were purple, with a few being dark gray, belonging to a more advanced existence—each time he killed one, it would cause a temporary standstill of half the ant swarm, taking seconds, a dozen or even longer to recover.
Even when they recovered, the ant swarm could no longer organize attacks as smoothly and flexibly as before.
To give an example, the entire ant swarm was like a precisely operating machine that gradually rusts as the control hub ants were continuously eliminated, making it increasingly difficult to operate until... it completely shuts down.
"Boom!"
Richard crashed into a corner of the ant swarm, smashing numerous ordinary ants, exposing two dark gray big-headed ants together.
