After the creator left the room, we all were asked to follow the guides to the portal room. Our guide was Susie, I was wearing a mask so she didn't recognise me and led us to the portal room. It was a hall with four pedestal surrounding an portal, made from blue ether, extracted from the demon's blood that are killed in the battle. I read about this in the library. This will be quite a necessary resource in the trials to travel between floors so we can save the money to rent other peoples portal.
"Now please come up to the portal in the order your names are announced" A guide said.
If he shouts me name, then it will be over before it even starts.
"Calm down, Zack, it will be okay, just focus on your objective." Lilly's voice echoed in my head.
She is right I need to calm myself down, and for now focus on the team and the trials.
It started. firstly all the dragons were called but due to some reason, I was not called. I think Jack did something. any ways at last when everybody was called, I was approached by the guide, who turned out to be Jack.
"Go now, and beat the trials, my boy" Jack said giving me a card.
"What is this?" I asked.
"When you go to the trials and clear the first one, you will be approached by recruiters from affiliates, there sole work is to expand their affiliate, they live in the trials itself." Jack said.
"Yeah I read about then in the library."
"I want you to find Ezekiel, show him this card, and he will tell you the rest. Now you should go, someone is watching us" Jack said patting my back.
"Thank you, old man." I said and entered the portal.
On the other side I appeared in a room with the rest of my team, Gray, Alicia, and Charlotte.
"How are you always late to the party man" Gray said sighing.
"Had to talk to the old man." I said.
"Anyways, the instructor for this trial will be here right about now" Alicia said looking at her holochrome.
"Welcome participants, I am your instructor for these trials, I will be with you from the first trial all the way to the Fiftieth trial, my name is Roy." a projection was in our room. "The first trial will be a team vs team, I will be assigning each team an opponent, the winner will move on to the second trial. After this trial only 5 teams pass out of twenty but in your case where there was no dragon, a total of 14 teams are there so 7 teams will pass."
"Well that makes sense, if 40 people pass the workshop trials, then if a team consists of four people , there should be around ten teams, but because of the dragon anomaly that happened this time only three people were in each team, so there will be around 14 teams including the people from the last time and the Isaac team. Alicia said pondering.
"Each team will be given a flag one blue and one red, which will be called the king flags. If you are given the red flag, then you have to capture the enemies blue flag, but also, you have to collect additional flags that will be scattered in the field by me. The scattered flags are worth 5 points ad the king flags are worth 50 points. the team with the highest points, will win." The instructor and then a dossier flashed on the projector screen, these are the order in which the teams will be going against each other.
We were third, and due to some reason, I was not included in the team dossier, so it showed this,
Charlotte, Gray and Alicia VS Kyle, Patrick and Lara
There was also, may's team and then Noel's team, and Issacs's team all above us. I think I know the results of the matches but i will let the result's pan out.
